A Word About TrackIR updates and EZDok!

Featured Replies

TrackIR is now on version 5.2.200

Everyone will lose their EZDok cameras if you just install the update.  What everyone forgets (me too!)... once you install the new version of TrackIR...

DON'T FORGET TO RE-NAME THESE FILES IN THE TRACKIR FOLDER:

simconnect.manifest

simconnectSP2.manifest

I change mine to "OFF-simconnect.manifest", and "OFF-simconnectSP2.manifest"

All your cameras will work again, and all will be well in the universe.

Nothing I can see feature wise... has the same interface. It does seem to stay centered better then ever however. During a flight, I find myself hitting F12 every couple minutes... now... maybe twice a flight.

Did you guys uninstalled first the previous versions or did you installed the new version on top of the old?

Thanks

Uninstall the old one first... Had problems before with that over top approach.

Another thing is to make sure that there is only 1 listing for startup in windows registry (if you set it to load on start up).

In the start button menu, type in "msconfig" in the little search box, and run the msconfig.exe program when it shows. On the STARTUP tab, just

make sure there is one listing for TrackIR.

If there are two;

from the start button type in regedit in the search box, and run it

goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

delete both the TrackIR entrees, close regedit, restart windows, restart TrackIR, and re-enable load at start up, then close Track IR. Now you should only have one listing.

If I am going to do a first install on both, EZdok and TrackIR, which should I install first?

Lost ezdok here too. The simconnect thing doesn't fix it. Haven't tried the registry suggestion yet.

Don't care about cameras. I just want the dynamic head movement back.

Good enough reason for me! :)

I installed TrackIR first, then EZDok.

Another note about EZ... If you change the manufacture after making a camera set, EZ will not load those cams... So for example if you rename the TBM850 to Socata (In the aircraft.cfg), EZ wont use your cams set up for the TBM. You'll have to load those back in.

Lost ezdok here too.

What happened?

I'm confused,

Maybe there was a slight adjustment to the galactic space time continuum?

Doesn't matter. I have left Ezydok behind now and bought OpusFSX. The dynamic head movements and camera shake is way better.
