May 20, 201313 yr Heck, why not ? as long as it's a greeaaat Cessna ! actually xplane10 also simulates space flight (I never tried it) so maybe we will get a PMDG Space Shuttle  :h0134:
May 20, 201313 yr The 747 is moving ahead slowly. I can't say much about it at the moment except there is a lot of programming involved. Saab is getting very close. Lot's of internal testing happening atm and the last of the sounds are getting added. BRING ON THAT SAAB!!! I'm ready for that beauty. I've been watching it and it looks great. I have a feeling that owners of Xplane 10 will maybe see a conversion of the popular FSX 737 NGX ported over I really hope that you are right with this Five. I'm satisfied with Ramzzee's T7, but all we have is the free Project 737 which doesn't even have a virtual cockpit. I would LOVE to have the NGX in X-Plane 10-64. I would gladly pay for it again. May 20, 201313 yr Re the aileron input in the video-I would be doing exactly the same with a slight crosswind from the left to maintain the aircraft on the runway centerline after takeoff-a series of brief and quick aileron corrections to maintain perfect runway alignment due to crab- the hallmark of a commercial pilot and not what the former xplane required to keep from rolling. Here is a video of me cutting and securing the right engine on a c-310- notice the only aileron is right at the cut until I get the right rudder input fine tuned -and very little and quite brief. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=2SBuzU6CJCg What I find curious is this former roll problem is hugely better and pretty much lacking now since 10.20. Therefore if it was realistic before why is it changed now? It is for this very reason I am back to presently enjoying flying xplane now-I just can't afford to simulate on something that encourages bad habits as it did before. Now I hope rudder input is made better-still lots of tuning needed here. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
May 20, 201313 yr I have no problem with the MU-2 video, with it's initial climb, and using some left aileron. First question........ What are the wind directions.? Second question ..... are the engines offset, etc To counter torque.? Third question ....... Does the real MU2 have a continuous roll problem in flight, that has to be countered with ailerons ..... The XPlane way? I doubt it! Fact...... XPlane as it stands now, which requires aileron trim changes as though the plane wants to roll during cruise or normal power changes (not jamming the throttle)......is not correct. A lot of airplanes don't even have aileron trim. Had a good discussion yesterday with a pilot/owner who does crop dusting with his 700 hp turbine Air Tractor. He said that he uses some aileron and a boot full of rudder on the takeoff and initial climb. He then goes on to say, that the aileron input to compensate for torque induced roll is negligible and really, not even a consideration. As to my own RV6, the engine is angled, and except for a possible aileron correction for a dipping wing right after leaving the ground..... It's easy to see from a lot of wing view pics, that the ailerons are not offset to counteract torque during the climb, let alone for cruise. However, torque on the takeoff roll can be enough to push the left wheel hard against the runway surface. Slow type by one finger on Iphone PS .... He also said that the nose is so long on the Air Tractor and the P-51, that the engine has little or no offset to the right...so it's all on the pilot.
