A great choice of planes ... and a great picture.

Quite real looking.

Great pic- I used to live in Redwood City, used to fly out of Palo Alto, the tower put a hold on departures when the Orions were leaving Moffet (when still an NAS) for coastal patrol... too much vortex turbulence their departure procedure...

I'll be back out in the Bay Area and SFO in a week for a conference and vacation....

Thanks, Bruce.

Thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated. My goal is immersion: excellent atmospheric depiction is as important as excellent terrain, and IMO immersion occurs in the cockpit so that is where I usually am when taking pictures.

You date yourself there, the P3 patrols haven't flown from Moffet for almost two decades now. (I've lived in Sunnyvale area for nearly all of the past 40 years.) Currently Hanger 1 has been stripped of its skin, which was deemed a toxic hazard; it sits as a skeleton awaiting the decision/funding to be restored or destroyed.

Thanks-  :)  I soloed there at KPAO in early '93.  The P3's used to take off towards the Bay, then do a sharp left to avoid the KSJC departures and head over the hills-  possibly over Woodside (OSI).  During that hard left turn they were "low and slow", and if taking off on 12 at KPAO you flew right under them and got to suffer their wake turbulence....
