Vic, roger that, thank you..so I will remove highmemfix=1

I have installed in a clean installation, the 4.90 FSUIPC registered, so I suppose the g3dll fix should be included.. (?)

Vaughan, I posted the faults I get...as far as I understand, KERNELBASE.dll, ntdll.dll, g3d.dll are some faulting modules.

I agree with you that thinking of overclocking seems a possible cause as far as overheating is concerned. The fact is that the problem appears only after

some time of flight and not before.. So common sense says that either system stress or memory issue. However I 'feel' that is has to do with software rather than hardware, because when I the problem appears and I close P3D, if I then restart P3D and start the same flight, the problem does not appear.

If this had to do with  overheating I suppose it would happen again instantly or after a while...

Right now I do again the flight from Athens to Barcelona. This time I didn't run FSCaptain (just to check) and if the problem appears I will post some screenshots from my Task manager.

Try this recommended Airbus Extended fix, go to C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\AerosoftAirbusExtended FMGS and change Logging = 0 and change HTML = 0

Many have claimed this helps FPS, might have something to do with stuttering.

However I cannot find that file. I use Prepar3d , so in the relevant folder, named "Prepar3D Files'' I see 19 files , most are from other add-ons aircraft and the rest files are ''GAP3recommended.cfg'', ''Logbook.BIN'', UISettings.xml'', ''P3D Favorites.xml'' and 4 ''Previous Flight'' files...

Just a thought, did you update video drivers recently? I have a similar setup to you, an i5 3470 with a GTX660Ti and the bus runs at a steady 30fps.

A friend had constant lock ups and CTD in his system until he rolled back to driver 314, might be worth a try?

Thank you very much!!

Hmm..I have the latest 314.22 driver..You also have 314.22 or the previous one?

These are the previous drivers I find in nvidia's website:

I have the 314 drivers. Maybe reinstall the drivers? What type of monitor are you using? Do you use Nvidia Inspector for your card?

Will, so maybe can you check whether you run the 314.22 or the 314.07 drivers? I would be grateful...

Reinstalling the drivers may be an option, however I find it more sensible to install the previous drivers 314.07 and see if there is any difference.

I just finished the flight...I think Murphy's law was in action. It didn't happened this time. (the onlly time I wanted to happen in order to show you some screens). However yesterday also it didn't happened in a 4 hour flight. But it will happen again tomorrow  :Worried:

The only common from yesterday's and tonight's succesfull flights was that it was both night here (lower temperatures maybe?) and also that it was a test in both flights, so I didn't mess a lot with the sim. I let it run in the backround, however I will change some views every now and then in both cases...

I really don't know what is happening. I will post some task manager screenshots and I will try to take some video of the problem next time.

However, first thing for tomorrow will be to roll back nvidia drivers to 314.07.

Thank you all again!

I have the 314.22 drivers, and running steady.

I hope a reinstall will do the trick for you, also be sure to check the temp on your card and its load, you can use Nvidia Inspector for this.

If you suspect heat run a good stress test. Get OCCT here:  http://www.ocbase.com/index.php/download

run it for at LEAST 1 hour and monitor the temps - http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/

if it doesn't crash, let it run for 1 more hour - if it doesn't crash you have 1) a stable overclock and 2) you do NOT have a temp problem.

Use OCCT as opposed to Prime95, linpack, etc as OCCT stresses the CPU/MEMORY system as FSX would rather that just the CPU/MPU.

It will at least eliminate the clock/temps as an issue.

Have you tried disabling EVERY non essential process running?

Thanks Vic! I will do a stress test with OCCT and see if I get a crash, for 3 hours.

I will try that..
I return from a lost flight again, this time I found a way to reprodruce the problem. After flying for ~3 hours with no problem appeared, I paused the sim for approximately half an hour. Then I unpaused and bang...the issue was there and in greater volume. FPS was jumping from 30 to 3.
So, I recordeed a video with my mobile for you to see, and also some screens from my TaskManager. Here there are:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/e9pigkz554fjrdi/MOV_0134.mp4

https://www.dropbox.com/s/k31x8zu619hwqc9/SCR1.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/a4yg6ngdbacnat0/SCR2.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ptnzdwx3kc220ep/SCR3.png

This time I run also TileProxy (I had a ISP problem and couldn't use it last 2 weeks, but now the ISP problem resolved. It was running perfectly before, so TileProxy is not the issue).

You can see in the pics that P3D is taking nearly 100% of the CPU. When I haven't paused the sim and the problem appears, it is a bit less powerfull (fps drops from 30 to 15, instead of 3) and P3D usage is approx. 85%).

Also, before that I had reinstalled in a clean way the latest nvidia drivers 314.22.
I cannot find some unwanted process or application I should try to close.

However I am curious why after the pause for some period and then unpausing brings the problem up. This has happened 1-2 days before when I had to pause a flight for some minutes then unpause, and the problem appeared just like today.

Thank you Lee!

I found the file, it was under C:/Users/Username/My Documents/Aerosoft/AerosoftAirbusExtended/

I suppose turning logging to 0, disables logging of the flights.

I will see if I get the problem resolved and report.

No result....Just returned from another frustrating 3 hour flight. Again, same behavior like the video and screens I posted yesterday.  :cray:

CPU usage was again 100%, with P3D usage at about 80-85%. Do you think this is normal?

What else can I do? I am totaly lost here.. :help:
