"It mentions Microsoft released patches for DST, is that included in SP2"

Do you have SP2?

I have FSX Acceleration.

I believe it's also the acceleration pack I have, I have FSX Deluxe edition

No, you have Delux.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Gold Edition combines the Deluxe Edition and the Acceleration expansion pack into one.

Is there a way of checking if I have either Accel or SP's installed, I remember I used ADE but that required SP2, so not sure if I have the Accel or SP

I did further more searches on the internet and through the avsim library file, I found a utility on avsim that corrects DST problems, installed it and it seems to have done the trick, correct time is displayed, although using the time zone files supplied with FSRT jersey uk displays the correct time, just the UK airports on mine that doesn't, so I have disabled the World Time Zone and used the DST utility, some places like KSEA should be Utc-7 but on mine it still shows UTC-8, I can live with that, I am sure something will click as to why I had this problem with Time display, and when I find that info I will post it here and hopefully it should help anybody else

Vonmar- many thanks for all your efforts, much appreciated, thank you for giving up your time yo help.

You "used the DST utility, some places like KSEA should be Utc-7 but on mine it still shows UTC-8" ....

That is the same problem as you have with FSRT ...correct?

If so, the Utility you used has not corrected your problem with your setup .. correct?

That's correct, but for the European side it has corrected my DST problem, UK is UTC +1 which wasn't correct before, it's a temp fix till I can figure out what do to, I have fed this back to Joshua, it was suggested to do a full re install of FSX something I do not want to do at this stage.

I am going to check to see if I have any duplicate Europe100 file.bgl as maybe that's the issue.

I can also confirm I have FSX Gold and accel pack .

In my situation is seems the files for Jersey and Europe are correct, but the uk seems to be missed out......very bizzare, not sure how to edit the files to verify.

"it was suggested to do a full re install of FSX"

Not a bad idea,IMO.

You have a utility the fixed FSX (in Europe). So, FSX is corrupted or wrong? Does the utility mention why FSX is wrong? You still have the problem in other areas around the world.

I do not have the utility.

Give me the name of it and I will download it as rad about what it is doing.

In the avsim library

timezone-dst_225304.zip

Ok, I downloaded to have a look.

It was a project that .. in this zip file , only correct some areas in Europe (not Russia e.g.) ... not the USA or other continents.

We are both using FSX Acceleration so it would seem you have installed something into your setup that has modified DST.

Hope you have luck tracking it down.

Thanks, will keep you updated, what I am planning on doing, is using my old machine and just install FSX and see if I have any issues, if it obviously works, then I will bite the bullet and just to a complete re install of FSX and all other add ons
