Any comments on the "ruuhder trim"?!?

I plead the 5th amendment!!

I'm lucky in having access to a pro level recording suite; these files are being recorded into a Neumann U47 condensor mic

You're lucky to have the expensive toys Dave.  I used to be a radio DJ and I imagine if I were still doing that, I'd make some voice contributions as well with the high dollar equipment we had.  Just glad you're doing what you're doing as variety is always nice to have

Yes, you're right Chris it is all about variety.

I am actually getting tired hearing my own voice as Captain of the AXE (Which is ridiculous as how much more 'realistic' can you get than hearing your own voice as Captain, in the sim!), so the key is to back up the original sound files (and any other sets you use), then you can vary which ones you use.

Once my North American set is done, I will probably then use :-

  • Original set (Mathijs) when flying for continental European airlines
  • My Brit English set when flying for UK charters, EasyJet, etc
  • My NA English set when flying for US and Canadian airlines (Jet Blue, AC, etc).

What would be fab, would be some clever coding person (not me) developing a little app, that could swap over (exchange) various different sound sets, so it could be done dynamically, just before a flight!  :dirol:

Too bad i'm in the middle of a flight now lol.  Thanks for the heads up on HF016b Ollie.

Guys, while I have your attention, does anyone know of a cure for the flightplan ending half way through a trip? it's happened twice to me now.

EDIT:

ha I have just seen the hotfix blurb......

"Possible fix to whole route disappearing after passing a waypoint"

Hi,  I think that was a HF016 problem, so the new HF016 that Olli mentioned above, may just fix that for you

... according to one's flightplan ...

The AAX bashing!   sad.png

That was my immediate response when I read the title as well.

Nothing ;)

Beech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?
ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

X-Plane 12 and MSFS2020  🙂

System specs: Windows 11  Pro 64-bit, Ubuntu Linux 20.04 i7-13700KF  Gigabyte Z790 RTX-4060-Ti , 32GB RAM  1X 2TB M2 for X-Plane 12,  1x256GB SSD for OS. 1TB drive MSFS2020

Some people are still reading the thread title, but not the content...   ... can't blame them for that.

This wasn't a thread about literal worst things about the AXE, it was specific to the fact that most people disliked the robotic ground crew handler, and we now have a human option.

I will PM the AVSIM Staff and ask if the thread title can be changed.

IMHO I think it is trying to learn to get out of the Boeing mind set and learn a completely different way of flying. It isn't a Boeing therefor the learning curve starts fresh. I love it know that I have it. Wish the Interior graphics where a little better but hey I can live with them. Since making an honest attempt at learning to fly a Bus I can see why my fellow co workers loved them. They could be type rated and fly the whole family of aircraft. Were as us Boeing guys had to be type in each aircraft due to system differences. I never joined the Bus camp when I was shuttling people through the air and now I wish I would have taken the time to do so. If my health hadn't let me down and ended my Airline career I could see a future in learning this craft. It fly's wonderfully and it is fairly simple to operate under normal procedures. I can see this hold true even in the sim. I can't imagine what I would complain about with the AXE. I love it and enjoy flying it. Still learning different things about it and it gives me something to look forward to. Cpt out.

Best Regards,

Robert J McGill
