Flight1 Skyhawk 172R - Bought it! Anyone else? Thoughts?

Featured Replies

Purchased the Flight1 Skyhawk 172R last night to celebrate my new (well...fresh) FS9.1 install.Superb looking aeroplane from all angles. Interior 2D and VC are top class - VC is the sharpest I have seen so far.Flight Dynamics seem pretty accurate although I am not sure if I prefer the Real Air 172SP or Flight1 aircraft for handling.Would appreciate thoughts from anyone who has both of these on their system and has had time to compare.Overall a fantastic aeroplane.CheersAdamAdam MooreJAR PPL/IMC (A)Win XP Pro - Dell Dimension 4500P4 2.54 GHz - 1GB RAMHiTech Radeon 128MB 9800Pro IceQ19" CRT 1600x1200 @ 100hzAudiophile 24/96FS2004 + UK2000 1/2/3/4/5/6/EGLL PROUK VFR Photographic Scenery 1/2/3/4UK VFR Terrain MeshUltimate VFR : RealAir SF-260Ultimate IFR : PMDG 737Ultimate FUN : RealAir Scout

It is becoming one of my favorite planes to fly lately. The 2D panel is simply incredible. Big enough to be easy to read yet still sharp enough to look nice. The VC is nice as well. I'm not a real pilot, so I can't comment on the flight dynamics, but they feel smooth to me (especially after the latest patch). We haven't had a complete 172 package for too long (the Realair dynamics are great, but everything else was default).

Hi CraigAm thinking I prefer the flight dynamics on the RealAir 172 but obviously cannot compare the two in any OTHER way as the RealAir addon was a project to enhance the flight dynamics only (which they did perfectly).I'll fly them both some more tonight and try and decide. Now all I need to do is make my own repaint for the Flight1 172!Happy FlyingCheersAdamAdam Moorewww.hhuk.netWin XP Pro - Dell Dimension 4500P4 2.54 GHz - 1GB RAMHiTech Radeon 128MB 9800Pro IceQ19" CRT 1600x1200 @ 100hzAudiophile 24/96FS2004 + UK2000 1/2/3/4/5/6/EGLL PROUK VFR Photographic Scenery 1/2/3/4UK VFR Terrain MeshUltimate VFR : RealAir SF-260Ultimate IFR : PMDG 737Ultimate FUN : RealAir Scout

See my post "Flight1 172/Default VC night lighting..."After the last patch, the night lighting is now the only problem I have with it...

It has replaced the Dreamfleet Archer as my default plane...Great looking panels, well behaved handling.Nice looking model. This is the 172 that FS9 should have had from the beginning...
