June 10, 201313 yr Hi there, I am kinda desperate, because I managed to read through a PDF manual also I watched a few tutorial vids for wilco embraer 190 but I cant take off properly with this plane from Glasgow Int. Properly means that I can take off but it means that it take me nearly whole lenght of the runway and I can manage to pull nearly at the end of the runway, which I find very strange because I experienced a real flight from Glasgow (EGPF) to Southampton with Flybe Embraer 190 and I would say that a plane took off like in the middle of the runway. My take off "set-up" flaps(2), nose pitch 4.9 up, throttle TO/GA..So if anyone has any ideas what kind of mistake have I done or if anyone has any tips I would appreciate thatThx
June 10, 201313 yr Hi Runway 05/23 is just over 8700 feet. Have you overloaded the EMB190 with passengers/cargo/fuel? Were you taking off with a tail wind? What power was shown on instruments during take off. TOGA shown on PFD? Controls spiking/not calibrated correctly? Cheers
June 10, 201313 yr My take off "set-up" flaps(2), When you check/test TO config are you getting the "Takeoff ok" voice?
June 11, 201313 yr Author Hi Runway 05/23 is just over 8700 feet. Have you overloaded the EMB190 with passengers/cargo/fuel? Were you taking off with a tail wind? What power was shown on instruments during take off. TOGA shown on PFD? Controls spiking/not calibrated correctly? Cheers Load: 41% passengers; 14% cargo Take off was attempted during "fairy weather" so no wind was blowing Power on instrument was 87,4 and I was not able to get it higher either with joy or keyboard I just managed to calibrate a joy just before the flight I set the TO/GA using key combination which is mentioned in key assigments settings.. I really don't know that kind of problem it is ... but thx anyway When you check/test TO config are you getting the "Takeoff ok" voice? Yes actually
June 11, 201313 yr My experience with the Feelthere Embraer Ejet's is that it is important to set elevator TRIM HIGH (over 5) to be able to rotate conveniently. I set it always to 5.3 (!) Guy
June 11, 201313 yr ZFW and fuel load properly entered into the FMC? Did you pay attention to the units (kg / lbs)? What happened to AVSIM
June 11, 201313 yr Author You didn't mention anything about your fuel load.. Ok that's true but actually even with the MTOW(maximum take off weight ) plane should be capable to take off on 2056 m and glasgow runway is 8700ft which is like 2500m... ZFW and fuel load properly entered into the FMC? Did you pay attention to the units (kg / lbs)? Actually I did not entered weight iformation into the FMC... so I'll try
