June 14, 201312 yr Just been having a look on the web site, and on the front page it states 50% Off. As ES forum seems to be dead, just like some opinions, and if it works with FTX England ? Guernsey is selling at 22 pounds listed, would that be the sale price or pre sale ? Thanks in advance . June 14, 201312 yr Yes Earth Simulations are highly recommended. I purchased quite a few of their products and highly recomended . With FTX due to custom autogen make sure you switch your autogen to default FSX in the FTX switcher before you install any Earth Simulation product. June 14, 201312 yr I've got Guernsey and the Scilly isles, and Sharwbury Fields, all very good. I believe I paid around £11 for Guernsey, in a half-price sale. Cheers Keith ...
June 14, 201312 yr Author Thanks Keith. At that price, I shall go for it. June 14, 201312 yr strange... I bought it in March using paypal too with the same 50% discount offer - which was £11.25+VAT - so £13.50 in total - and this was the amount shown and also charged - no problems. Like other posts here... highly recommended product... even flying IFR - looks fantastic flying in around dusk over the channel - if I get the approach right I can just about stop my PMDG 737-800 before the end of the runway! Darren Morris
June 14, 201312 yr I did not have the positive experience that others have posted and would not recommend ES products. I bought Guernsey and tried many, many times and was not able to get the product to install. I tried to get support, received no answer for several days. When I finally got a response, they were not able to solve the problem, was still not able to get it to install. However, they gave me a refund without any resistance. Also be aware, that if you have ORBX FTX England, and wish to fly from ORBX England to ES Guernsey, you will not be able to. You will have to go to FTX Control and select "Default" for the ES autogen to work. So you have to select one or the other in any single FSX session. June 14, 201312 yr They make good islands but the airports there are not great..particularly runway and taxiway textures look like default linoleum. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
