OOOPS, correction to above..

 

In the rxpgns.ini file, set LinkVor=1 for the LPV glideslope to work.

 

I was trying to get the BRG1 pointer to point to VOR1, even in GPS mode, but that

disables the LPV guidance..   :blush:

 

As a workaround, you can use NAV2 and the BRG2 pointer to show the direction to a VOR.

 

If anyone can get both to work concurrently, please post!

Bert, the mods that you sent to me are awesome.  I love this TBM850 now and can easily program the G1000 without any problems.  The aircraft flies much, much better with you mod to the air file also.

Thank you very much.  It is one of my favorite aircrafts now.

Hi Bert,

I just bought the 850 and want to install a popup GNS 530.  I don't think I would have bought it if I hadn't seen your post detailing the idea of having a popup 530 to feed the G1000.  That changes everything.

I need all you have.  I am making progress in learning how to add gadges in FSX but have never added a popup in this way.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Pete, do you own the RXP GNS530?

 

If yes, you just add it, using the RXP GNS WAAS app.

 

Then, manually add the LinkGPS entry in the ini file.

Bert,  I have the 530.  I inserted the code in the rxpgns.ini and panel.cfg and.... it works perfectly!!
