Featured Replies

Hi,

i´m loooking to buy a new laptop, because mine runs fsx pretty bad, it doesnt get any better than 10 fps. so here i am, looking for recomendations asking if any of you know of a laptop tha can run fsx decently. please take in account that the computer shouldn´t exceed 450 dollars, because i´m from argentina and here buying dollars is too expensive. 6 pesos equals 1 dollar!!

thanks in advance,

Impossible for that price.

FS 2004 would be more in your area right now.

HOW ABOUT 600 DOLLARS??

To get a good as in 20+ FPS in FSX with PMDG/REX/GEX/ORBX/UTX You would be spending $1000+. My current laptop is $2600 and my desktop is $4500 both of which run FSX at I think around 40-50FPS. Running heavy addons.

I FOUND A LAPTOP ON THE WEB THAT HAS 3.20 GHz processor speed, 4 GB RAM memory and intel core I5-3230M processor. would that be enough as to have 10-11 constant fps flying the 737 NGX into aerosoft zurich or oslo??

i´m not asing for 40 fps, just 10, but they have to be constant.

No, sorry. It probably has an integrated video chip and not a dedicated video card also.

No, not even close.

You need at least 3.0ghz. You also will want a dedicated GPU.

NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 720M. would this with a 2000 mb ram processor be enough???? understand i dont 1200 dollars

No.

First you said $450, which is impossible for what you want to do with FSX. Hence the suggestion to use FS 2004.

Then you said show you anything, and we did, all within reason.

To do what you want, especially in a laptop, will cost $1000 USD or more. Basic laptops cannot handle FSX and gaming laptops cost a lot of money.

alright buddy, i really appreciate your help. i think i will a cpu and add the monitor, because they are cheaper, and as you said they can handle better FSX than laptops.

Now it will depend on your CPU and the rest of your desktop computer.
