Now it will depend on your CPU and the rest of your desktop computer.

You still have integrated graphics with that build. Any game or simulation like FSX is going to require a dedicated graphics card. Before my current desktop I had a Q9550 at 3.2ghz along with a EVGA 550TI, with tweaking patience I was able to get FSX to sit around 24fps with moderately heavy addons. My best advice is to look at the AVSIM FSX hardware and software guide.

I would recommend the suggestion you had earlier.
Enjoy FS2004 and forget about FSX.
Start saving and then when you have about $3000
saved you can build a nice FSX PC or perhaps
a P3D V2 PC by then. You will never enjoy FSX
on a small budget and if you try to you will only be wasting
your money and then you will start throwing good money
after bad trying piecemeal upgrades that will have little or no effect.
Take my advise forget about FSX until you have at least
$3000 saved and enjoy FS2004 in the mean time.
Its the only rational solution in your predicament.
If you don't take this advise 3 or 4 years from now
you will be saying "I should have listened to that guy"
Guaranteed!

You don't need 3000 bucks to do a decent desktop . 1800 bucks will get you close to 4GHZ with a 670 GPU...and an I7 processor...water cooled as well.

What will $450 get you?

This is painful

Most likely an i3, maybe an i5 but with integrated graphics.

LOL, exactly. Like trying to get water from a stone.

And we're right back where we started. (Reminds me of a song: The wheels on the bus go round and round.............)

The further you go down, the better the performance, but higher the cost.

Anything under a GTX 670M or GTX 760M isn't gonna cut it for FSX. I have the Sager NP8690 from 2009 with a GTX280M.

OK, you too didn't read where in post 1 the OP states that he cannot spend more than $450 USD.

The lowest is 741 + 100 for the OS install.

@JSkorna, I did I posted it to show that he wont find a decent laptop for $450 to run FSX enjoyably. Anything in his budget will have integrated cards which can't handle the load. Even with that budget, a good desktop is still out of reach.

On a side note, Alienware laptops are waaaaaay too overpriced for what you get. Asus and MSI offer cheaper solutions with similar configurations for far less.

OK fair enough.

I think there is enough for the OP to go on now and maybe this will just fade away.

That would run fsx ok with no intensive addons installed.  But I have to agree with Jim that u should try fs2004.  I honestly can't see using fsx with lower then 30fps.  U would have to be very selective in the area and weather u fly in to see good FPS.  fs2004 is still good with alot of good addons available.

if i use the 737 gnx into an aerosoft airport, can i get at least 10-15 fps. because in my current computer i only get 5. so 10 fps would be enough for me. is i5 better than i7 for gaming?? with an nvidia gtx 650 ti. just tell me if this specs are enough for getting 10 fps with the 737 ngx into an aerosoft airport. thanks
