LOL Yeah, that's what you get with all those abbreviations in our hobby...  ^_^ But anyway, you should use FTXG together with UTX and OpenLC because OpenLC is only about landclass (and some new textures) while UTX gives you real roads, waters, coastlines, etc. etc. So use them both if possible. (And btw it's FTXG not just FTX because there are lots of various FTX addons!) 

 

BTW Orbx may also produce addons that gives you roads and waters and other kind of 'vector data': that might make UTX obsolete.

I flew with FTXG for the first time yesterday. The day textures are good, comparable to GEX. But what really stands out is the night time. Wow! Those lights are very impressive--much better than UTX, and GEX doesn't even have 3D lights.

 

Using it with an ENB that makes truly dark night really makes those lights pop out. Night flying is quite beautiful and terrifying!
