August 1, 201312 yr I started over with my FSX.CFG and now I am getting this: I seem to recall getting some night environment that was around $12 US, but I cannot find the uninstall instructions or remember where I purchased it from. It also looks like my sky and sun are off too, I use REX Essenetial, would a reinstall of REX fix that? Does anyone know what files might need to be restored ( I am pretty sure I have a backup of them, but just don't know which one). Or can I just install FSX over the top to restore missing files? I did install FTX Global, but I would of thought these files would of been overwritten? I have MCE, JFK, Heathrow and GSX installed as well... 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
August 1, 201312 yr Open up FTX Central and select default (or the other option if it is set to default already). Restart FSX. Close. Open up FTX Central and select the other option available and restart FSX. The black square lights indicate you might be missing files in your Effects folder. Unless someone has actually gone through this it's difficult to tell which files are missing. You can also try uninstalling FTX Global and reinstalling. August 1, 201312 yr Commercial Member Is that a shader_cached_primed issue? The messed up wheels on the aircraft are a real pointer. This googled article explains some steps you may like to try first. http://fsxtimes.wordpress.com/2011/07/11/clean-up-shader-cache/ www.antsairplanes.com

Best regards, Jim Thanks, that helped, but the sky, sun ,water, boats and aircraft are still not right. Can REX reinstall it's files somehow? 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
August 1, 201312 yr Don't reinstall REX yet; just let REX 'inject' its textures again into FSX. What happened to AVSIM
August 1, 201312 yr You can try deleting the DX9 and DX10 shader cache and let fsx build new ones upon start up. Make a back up first just in case. Nature Boy
August 1, 201312 yr Author I tried deleting cache and reinstalling FTX global. I'm getting blocks for lights now, the sky is somewhat better after I started REX, but you can see it's large blocks for the clouds and sun. The trees still look like they have some black around them. I found the night environment installer that I had..it's called Ulimate Night Environment. 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
