PMDG 777 Manuals, Alternate shipping options?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

As this is my first post in this forum, forgive me if it's in the wrong place. I have looked through the forum, however was unable to find the answer I was looking for.

Let me begin by saying how brilliant the 777 looks and how I am very much looking forward to getting my hands on one. Being an avid flight simmer and having seen the quality of the NGX, I am looking to take the plunge and purchase the 777 manuals. However their is one catch. Being in the UK the shipping costs with FedEx is in excess of £120, and I can't justify spending Nearly £450. Mainly because I think my dad would have a heart attack if he knew I was buying the manuals, without even factoring in the shipping costs.

Anyway, I would like to know whether any alternate shipping options are available, because as of now FedEx is the only option given to me during checkout. To be honest I wouldn't mind if it took weeks.

I hope someone is able help me with this matter. If you are unable then not to worry, there is always the digital PDFs.

Many thanks in advance.

Jordan Briscoe

I know printed is printed... but at that pricepoint, buy a tablet rather.

I have the same problem living in the UK. I use an iPad but its not the same as printed and bound manuals.

I would NEVER spend on large quantities of paper.

As I have a separate laptop, which I use for my existing B744 docs, charts, TOPCAT, VATSpy, etc, I shall be moving all B777 documents from the installation onto the laptop. I find this a very good reference solution whilst flying.

Cheers, Richard

It's interesting that RL companies are switching to electronic documents, but virtual pilots want to switch from electronic to paper.

Honestly, there is no paper that can replace search function of my pdf reader.

Was thinking the exact same thing.

However, I always love to have a paper QRH handy. The Q meaning Quick Reference Handbook, I still find it much quicker using the little tabs on a paper QRH to get to the right section related to what we are trying to sort out. While PDF's on the iPad may have bookmarks, and there is a search function...physical bookmark tabs work much more efficiently.
