Cabin sounds/addons for 737 ngx

Featured Replies

I am looking for addons that would go well with 737 ngx that would add more realism to the idea of flying a passenger airliner. Would fspassengers be a good fit? I'm looking for something to increase the atmosphere and add another dimension. I have fs2crew but have grown a bit tired of the script and the long startup process. At this point I tend to run through my cold dark startup pretty quickly but when I do it without fs2crew it gets rather lonely in the cockpit. Would multicrew experience be better? I would love a program that would help make me a better pilot.

There is some nice freeware at the library from the earlier days. I play the sounds from my Android phone. Any sim, any plane, any time.

Can you name the app for sounds for Android? You got me interested.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

FS Captain adds some F/O and cabin crew atmosphere, as well.

It's not checklist-based, so things should happen a good deal faster than with FS2Crew (which, BTW, is a fantastic addon).

It's main purpose is to enhance the experience of line flying, as it adds, among others, a number of interactions of the flightdeck crew with their compony OPS. It also (roughly) rates your skills on a per-flight basis.

Highly configurable, works with a huge variety of aircraft. (No voice control, though! tongue.png )

Full manual and a tutorial can be studied before purchase on their website.

Thanks Ralf for the link, I have that panel already.
By the way I'm using FS Captain and it is amazing. Also I'm flying with my headphones so a phone playing sounds is pointless. :)

I've been using both fspax and fs2crew on the NGX and they work well together. I like fspax because its very customizable and does a few things automatically like close the door when the pax are boarded, serve food and play the movies, etc. You can add sounds or remove sounds fairly easy. I've adjusted the flight attendants PAs to sound a bit muffled and distant just as you should hear them from the flightdeck. It really ads to the realism. I've heard of FS Captain and the reviews sound really good. However why fix something that's not broken in my case, so I haven't gotten it. Fspax also monitors your landings and mistakes. You can disable or enable as you wish. I mostly use it as a sound enhancer.

For those who have used both  fspassengers and fscaptain with the 737 ngx, does one strongly out perform the other? I ran a demo flight with fspassengers and got a 100% score, but I could barely hear anything over the plane engines. Still haven't been able to figure out how to turn down the volume of the engines because no matter what sound menu I go into to reduce the volume it overshadows all the other sound effects.

XPax from HiFi simulations is ok for adding general ambience to airline operations.

Hmm, I'll look into this. Thanks

Just in followup to my post. I tried the demo for fspassengers and fscaptain. I have found fscaptain to be better from my point of view. It works pretty well with fs2crew and it has helped keep me more honest with my flying and as a result I have gotten more into proper fuel planning, weights etc, along with flying to airports I never even heard of.

Look no further than FS2Crew.   You'll get a whole lot more too!
