You are running in 16 bit color as well according to your config... may want to go to 32 bit color (1920x1080x32) for your resolution....you can change that on in the game without editing configs.

The same. I fly into Boston with a "daylight change" no building appeared. Tried minimizing and maximizing and got the same results.

I don't think so. I haven't re installed in a while and this just started happening. 

The pictures in OP appear to be showing dramatic memory starvation as FSX tries to render a texture.  Look at your memory settings in the BIOS (for one), check your Virtual Memory settings (page file).  Make sure you have a page file for each HDD on your computer.

For Virtual Memory (Page File) just go to the Virtual memory page and see if you have it enabled for all of your HDD's (click on the Start button and type Virtual Memory in the Search box and then look up and click on how to change my Virtual Memory settings).  I like system managed size but many try to set their own sizes.

 

I saw that you have your system overclocked.  Check your memory settings and make sure the right frequency is shown for the memory installed.  Then, look into the timings page and make sure they are set properly (you can get a guide on what these settings should be by downloading and running CPU-Z and then looking under the SPD table).  Sometimes auto settings do not work properly. 

 

Speaking of overclocking, you might want to save your current overclocked settings and then go into the BIOS and click on the default or optimal settings for your system.  See if the problem still occurs.  If not, they there is a problem with your overclock.  If the problem continues, you can go back and reenable your settings.  I know in ASUS boards you can do this.

 

Still speaking of overclocking, did you try overclocking your GTX570?  That could cause problems too but your problem is more system memory related.  You can definitely see how your system is trying to render a scene and then another scene etc., etc.

 

Important:  Just noticed in your Fsx.cfg that you have your video card set to 16 bit instead of 32 bit:

Mode=1920x1080x16

 

I don't know if this will make a difference as I have never ran anything in 16 bit but think this just might be your problem.

Thanks a ton Jim! I am going to look into the Virtual Memory Settings and my RAM freq.

 

I will also look into the clock speed and see if that makes a difference.

 

I have not Overclocked my GPU, I don't really feel its necessary for FSX. 

 

I fixed my resolution in FSX, I will let you know how it goes. I also have to post a picture of the actual disappearing objects, the pictures above are only after I minimize then maximize and pan around a view.

Are you running SP2/Accel? And also, are you running Nvidia drivers past 314.22 (to find out right click Nvidia in taskbar and press Check for Updates, then see under installed what version it is). I have had numerous crashes and alsorts of problems with their newer drivers past 314.22. There are many reported problems with them on certain cards.

Never defragged. I always fly in a multiplayer session, so I don't think the AI stuff really makes a difference. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Flying at night requires more system resources than flying during the daytime.  Don't know why but loading those night textures requires a lot of resources.  I have read where if you do not have sufficient resources, aircraft will disappear.  Looks like you are located at a commercial addon airport too which take a lot of resources at night.  You have a good system so I cannot see why even having high settings would affect your textures from not rendering but there could be other things running in the background that are taking up most of your system resources.  Your scenery tab settings are definitely set too high and so are your AI settings.  Your system should be able to handle it though but I would lower them to the default (just click reset to default on the Scenery Tab and the AI Tab).

 

 I have seen this happen with DX10 Preview enabled but your fsx.cfg you posted does not show that enabled.

Thanks so much Jim. I also by accident didn't have the "HIGHMEM fix" at the top of my CFG. Maybe that will make a difference. I am currently working with Level-D on the issue. I will also change WideView Aspect in the CFG. Thanks again!
