Any Up-to-Date AI product out there

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

The current AI products we have on the market are simply too much out-dated. I have UT2 2013 and My Traffic5.4B, and they simply populate DL hubs with planes in the pre-2007 "Deltaflot" livery. UT2's schedule even shows a lot of DL routes that they no longer operate, actually long ended. They even have almost all UA planes in the pre-merger blue and white scheme. The new freeware Global AI v2.07 does nothing better. The JustFlight Traffic 360, still has Continental name on the current UA livery...

Do you have an idea, which company produces an up-to-date AI package?

Thanks.

I am using the March 2013 latest MTX5.4C available from the MTX forum. Even with 5.4B, I was not getting pre 2007 Delta. You may need to check  you are loading the correct schedules, and not historic.

I am using UT2 and update schedule and liveries by power pack, so far so good.

You can download the latest schedule from avsim library (alpha india, UTT etc) and import them using power pack.

They could show the Zeppelin, but I am still not seeing pre Delta 2007. Have you considered asking Burkhard @ MTX forum ?

MTX has Post UA merger as well, are you seeing them ?

Yes, UA is alright in MTX. Can you go and check KCVG? All types of Deltaflot livery there. KATL is fine though.

This topic does raise the interesting question why there's no updated version of UT2... perhaps call it UT3  :P

UT2 is a great product, but the user has to do a lot of extra work to get all of the airline colour schemes that they want. I still use the DVD Version 2.04 Edition (no updated schedules or upgrade fixes), and the reason for that is because I am not confident that the latest schedules will include all of the UK colour schemes that I want (particularly the charter or cargo airlines). This wasn't the case with version 2.04, which is why I ended up adding a lot of stuff myself. Thankfully, integrating new planes and flightplans is very easy once you learn how to do it, although it can be time consuming!

In short, I prefer to stick with what I have now, and upgrade certain airlines every now and again when I feel like it (and when a greater variety of individual aircraft registrations and/or colours are available to download). The very latest schedules are not essential for me. I just want a nice representation of those airlines that should be operating from the major airports in the UK (which is where I fly exclusively).

I find it very worrying that no 2013 summer schedule has been released for UT2. I hope this is due to delays on not because Flight1 have decided to abandon the product, which would be a real shame.

Formally screen name was Alex_YSSY until the forum software ate my account  ^_^

I don't think that they have abandoned the product. They are probably just ironing out issues before it is released. I seem to recall one of their previous updated schedules being released for free because of something like that.
