November 7, 200421 yr Awesome thank you! Hopefully the frames will be nothing major. I'm definately going to buy her now. Hopefully some UPS oc/nc and FDX liveries will be available or someone will repaint the freighter

November 8, 200421 yr Nathan,if you have not modified the CS config file, you will have problems with smooth landings....you won't have those problems with the DFClaywww.dreamfleet2000.com/Previews/727/preview_home.html|http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/Forum_Banners/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. November 8, 200421 yr Where can I get the updated FS2k4 CS727 FDE???After seeing all the latest screenshots, I too am eagerly awaiting the DF727... Paul and the rest of the guys have worked wonders yet again... I've been so happy with the CS727, I was actually going to pass on the DF version. The latest screenshots have changed my mind.... FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
November 8, 200421 yr Indeed, so happy to see some very nice comments.Let me add, Paul, the point of doing / not doing the 727 became moot (note to all: the word is "moot" not "mute") when the 727 took as long as it did to produce, and that will actually work out well in your team's favor. :-)And you can thank (perhaps also want to hit) me for delaying the release further, by sticking my hands in at the 11th hour, and making the inclusion of radar possible.Actually, I set it up, then let Paul go crazy with the details! :-lolThe first thing I learned in business is to delegate, while also causing Paul as much aggravation as possible! :-lol:-lolYou've got a great 727 there, Paul, and only those who expect the 100% real thing for $34.95 will be disappointed. ;-)Now, what was that release date I mentioned to you?????Regards,http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...R_FORUM_LOU.jpg
November 8, 200421 yr Hi Clay,Can you point me to the edits required for the CS727? I searched but could only find a Flaps edit, but I don't think that's my problem. The plane just seems to lack any horizontal stability and it wanders all over the place. Thanks much!
November 8, 200421 yr Lou,Well, since you mentioned the price, for $34.95, it's about as real as you can get considering it's doing it's air time in FS.As for the comparison of the CS and DF, well, in it's time the CS was a great offering, even though in it's final, final, final release, it still wouldn't track a VOR properly or carry the proper angle of attack on approach. The DF model was far better in its first beta that the final of the CS -- (that's an opinion, folks, but an educated one), not wanting to make any enemies here, but it's just a far superior product from and individual who has flown the real thing. I'm sure 'someone' won't like it, but I doubt if they are a RW pilot, because this one thinks it flies just great!BestClaywww.dreamfleet2000.com/Previews/727/preview_home.html|http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/Forum_Banners/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. November 10, 200421 yr Well, I own the Captain Sim and don't fly it much. I find it almost impossible to fly by hand - nothing at all like the PMDG 737 which is the only comperable jetliner I own, nor the 777 simulator I flew in Denver this fall that was remarkably easy to manuever. Both planes pretty much go where you point them. I don't know if I'll buy another three holer - will wait and see. Colin
November 10, 200421 yr Hello All,Well, there is a vast difference between the CS and the DF 727. However, remember the '27's were back when you really had to 'fly' the aircraft . .. no FMC, or autothrottle, or autoland, just you and the aircraft. And the DF is worth every dime!Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. November 10, 200421 yr Exactly! I love flying airplanes like the old days. I'll tune in a VOR maybe and rarely use the autopilot when I'm flying the RFP 742 or anything else basically. Loved the CS727 until I realized it wasn't me when I rarely could get a nice landing. I looked at the screen shots for the Dreamflight 727 on the website and WOW I definately can't wait for this one, how about a release date of... friday?? Thanks!! Hopefully a Kitty Hawk Cargo repaint will be made by some artist.
November 10, 200421 yr I don't think many of us, including those of us who had 'real' hours in a '27' could get a good landing in the CS until we modified the .cfg file. I'm not one to want to bad mouth CS but for some reason, they just NEVER got it right. A 727 just does not land with a 4 degrees nose down attitude! You won't have that problem with the DF model. If your weight is proper, and approach speed and flaps are right and you give yourself the proper alloted time to catch the LOC, the DF will do it as if it is on rails. As for a release date, well, that's not my decision, but when ever it is released, you will be pleased.Best Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T.
