September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member Understood... it would be nice to associate November with GA at some point though. That way we can use two phonetic letters at the end instead of just one. The GA grammar does cater for that. Unfortunately, for the aircraft to be identified as GA, you'd need to select one of the available RC4 aircraft. You'd be fine with "Mooney November six Mike Delta", but not with "Pilatus November six Mike Delta" Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
September 11, 201312 yr Author Unfortunately, for the aircraft to be identified as GA, you'd need to select one of the available RC4 aircraft. I guess I still don't completely follow... why can't November (selected from the Airline/Company Name drop-down in RC) be associated with GA instead of airline grammar?
September 11, 201312 yr Commercial Member Just to clarify. When aircraft is positively identified as GA, and say your aircraft is Mooney, tail number N14GDM Mooney Golf Delta Mike (short form) November one four Golf Delta Mike November forteen Golf Delta Mike Mooney November one four Golf Delta Mike (overkill but acceptable) Mooney November forteen Golf Delta Mike. If not using one of the RC4 GA aircraft, you'll have to omit the aircraft type November one four Golf Delta Mike November forteen Golf Delta Mike The above two will do. Can't use the short form. September 11, 201312 yr Author I understand... just don't use abbreviated callsigns when using a type not defined in RC (except when using my customized November type where I can abbreviate the callsign but can't have more than 1 letter at the end). It doesn't answer my question; but I can definitely live with the current workarounds
