September 4, 201312 yr Hey PMDG community!!Now after some houres flying the 777 i must say its a really really great product, everything is fine, even the frames...For now i just have found a minor bug or something, however that one makes it a challange to land so it could get annoying after some hundreds of flight The problem is the following: When i am arriving and slowing down to final approach speed (normally i guess it can also be BELOW 140 kts, right?) i noticed that, not depending on my weight (yep i tried 100% load und also 0%...) and the stall speed/red tape is everytime at about 148 kts. That is making it really difficult to land without being annoyed by the nice "rrrrrrr" coming out of the loadspeakers...Now i just want to know: That isn't really normal, is anyone having the same issues or am i doin sth wrong? :S Hopefully not... So, have muuuch much much fun with your GE90 monster powered Boeing 777 ))Goood night everyone Greets Lennart(oh man, hopefully i am not annoying in this forum or helping to spam with this post, and i am sorry for my english...) September 4, 201312 yr You are setting Vref in the FMS, correct? What flap setting? A Vref below 140 is possible if you are light and landing flaps 30. Dan Downs KCRP
September 4, 201312 yr Is everything configured for landing? My first guess would be your flaps aren't properly extended. EDIT: Also, check to make sure you have a landing speed entered/selected. Someone beat me to it. Dave Wegner - Don't be afraid of common sense or the search function.
September 4, 201312 yr I had a Vref of 136 using flaps 30 the other day. As Dan mentioned you need to tell the aircraft what flap setting you plan on using. Also, in general depending on winds use VREF+5 for target speed. George Morris
September 4, 201312 yr Author Haha so that was my fault, thanks for help man... I thought the nice new aircraft could handle it as smart as the "old" (ok, i know the NG isn't old...) 737, automaticly Because i just wanted to make a smal test flight, i didnt set the Vref *uuh emberassing* now everything works correct as it should... Besides my i guess :pp Thanks for that fast help Lennart Siepelmeyer Proud owner of the NGX from PMDG, the best flight sim aircarft at this time (just the best fs aircraft until the next PMDG plane is rolling out) Home airport: EDDG Online fliyng on IVAO, ID : 335599 Windows 7 x64 i7-860 (4x2.8 GHz) GTX-460 2GB 4GB RAM
September 4, 201312 yr Also you need to enter your weight correctly in the FMC, otherwise the aicraft doesnt know its weight Sean De Maere
