So what's happening to the rest of your planes in your hanger?

Hi all,

Interesting thread,

I have to say since the 777 came out, I have flown my MD11 to Seattle Boeing field to collect my new 777 then flew that back to the UK. Been flying the 777 around learning the systems and sorting out the throttle issues posted on here, now sorted and things have settled down again.

So my last few flights have been 777 Uk to Switzerland, Twin OtterX, A2A C172 and Mustang around the Swiss Alps.

To be truthful I don't think the 777 is going to cause my MD11's to be retired just yet, I'll admit the time compression in the cruise is amazing, but there is something about the MD11 that is quirky and I love that in a plane. Funny thing I think my 737NGX gets used less than the MD11 too. Maybe it just more fun than a Boeing!

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.

I just took my 738 for a short flight... can't tell you i miss it and much as i enjoy the t7

Daniel T Costa

Got myself the A2A Cessna C172 the other day and pushed that through a 3 hour flight lol.

Had some Awesome Vatsim ATC who cleared me to transition the VFR Coastal Transit lane from Ulladulla to Kiama through the Nowra Military Control zone. (Page 4 of the ERSA shows the routing)

Later I made an en-route flightplan amendment airborne to enter C class airspace at Sydney to fly the Sydney Harbour scenic route(page 73!), before heading back OCTA for the route back to the destination Camden (after hours CTAF).

Earlier in the week I'd flown the NGX from YSSY Sydney to YBCS Cairns to 'position my virtual self' up north for a Vatsim/Vatpac event up north Queensland at the Torres Strait.

Unfortunately my flight in the Q400 from Cairns to Horn Island YHID ended up with a Crash to Desktop not long after reaching FL240 (Maybe swapping from NGX to MJC Q400 without restarting the sim was a bad idea).

Nevertheless I then flew the Flight1 BN2P Britten Norman islander around the Torres Strait Islands with the OZx Torres Strait scenery package, including landing at "The shortest licenced runway in Australia" Mabuiag Island.

Of course after all that I did enjoy getting in the 777 again to fly the 8 hour flight from OMDB to RJTT as UAE312.

Flown the MD11 and the AS 320 more than the T7. Not a real big fan of the heavies. But had to have the T7 in the collection..

T7 on weekends when there's time for long-haul. NGX/AXE during the week.

Well the T7 IS in the hangar,  I really don't like it that much. My favorite, the NGX followed by Dash 8,  JF L1011 and yes CS 737-100 and 737-200 nice planes to fly, and about over 40 aircrafts, I use them all! :)

Wow that's a lot of flying...I have yet to get set up correctly with FSUIPC..throttles are mess up and some buttons on my yoke won't work :( The MD11 is collecting dust as is the NGX.....but I see a bright future when time permits. Happy flying !!
