On a budget, what do you recommend for next "environmental" addon?

I am thinking mesh,  but maybe you all could recommend something else.

I have REX,  FTXG,  various FTX regions,  guess that's about it.  I fly exclusively GA on the "low and slow" side,  and mostly VFR.   I use stock FSX real weather,  with REX textures.  I would like to get mesh,  Opus,  and some type of vector product (but I will probably wait for FTX's vector product),  and maybe a landclass addon (also will probably wait for FTX's OpenLC).

Hmmm,  looking at the above,  I have maybe answered my own question;  it seems that a mesh product would be far the best for the next VFR product.   Next maybe the weather,  but depends on when FTX releases their next products.

Open to suggestions and/or advice,  though.  In fact,  I would welcome suggestions/advice.  :)

I'd probably go for a weather program, Opus in your case, as you suggested that one yourself. If you fly mainly within the FTX region you don't need an extra mesh, as Oliver said, and IMO there is no real need for that anyways, because I have yet to find an area where the available meshes make all the difference: In the flatter areas there is usually not so much to improve (give or take a few hills), and I have not found one that makes the Alps as good as I would want them to be (the Austrian part that is, the French and Swiss parts are very well covered by FranceVFR and Flylogic)

AccuFeel perhaps

AccuFeel.  Forget wasting money on weather addon.  FSX default realtime weather is pretty  damn good and doesn't hit your frame performance too badly.  Save your money for the upcoming ORBX products and new high definition aircraft (e..g, Milviz King Air 350, RazBam Metroliner perhaps).

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

You mentioned you like flying GA low and slow. Why not the new A2A C172?

Various mesh add-ons have an undesirable effect on many FSX airports. Mainly due to the fact that all the FSX airports are flat whereas, real world airports seldom are. This leads to the dreaded bathtub or aircraft carrier effect. Some have a tool built in to fix these anomalies but its still a non starter for me at this point. As has been stated the full ORBX regions have mesh data incorporated in with it.
