How is she?

Featured Replies

After the huge disappointment with the T182T, I decided to not buy the SR22. However the "FPS-patch" has completely transformed that plane for me. How is the SR22 after the latest patch? Worth getting for $35?

Same question. She'd need G1000 (user) fixes I guess and an added RXP GPS for rw nav data. But if the fps are good and the model is like on the screenshots, I might think of getting her as I've recently discovered my love for single engine props.

If not, the Malibu (piston) is on my watchlist too.

I'm flying them both, if having the RXP 530 is a priority for you I think you should consider the Malibu Mirage...

I learned to be ok with the RXP in the background on the TBM, which is a very nice plane and shouldn't be missed. So I could live with the same G1000 hack in the speedy SR22 if the other qualities check out.

Mmm, no urgent need for new stuff but I always keep looking. Guess that's a common disease around here. ^_^ I'll add one more point to my 'buy the Malibu instead' list though. Thanks, Tom.

If your interested in flying a Cirrus..the SR22 is a good plane and although it it is not like the true plane..it's very close and honestly if you never flew a real cirrus you would get over the subtle differences..but I know people here get all bent out of of shape if the most minute detail is missing on a $35 sim versus the $600,000 real world version.

Yes mine too. I'm scared of getting a plane like this after having the A2A 172 and F1 KA recently and don't know if I'll be disappointed.

So how are the frame rates after the patch?  How does it compare to other Carenado aircraft?

Anyone who has the SR22 care to share their comments on the frame rates?

Better after the patch but still not great.    You will still notice a significant performance penalty over say, their Malibu Piston, where frames are great and hardly a consideration.

Carenado's G1000 just seems very heavy on PC resources, in any application.

The texturing on their SR22 is beautiful but that aside, it's really not one of their better releases in my personal opinion.  The Malibu Piston is in a different league.

Thank you sir.
