Xplane 10 Track IR Issues

Featured Replies

Hi all

I recently upgraded to XP 10 and have noticed that the Track IR has a tendency to vary wildly when in the virtual cockpit. It seems that a slight movement causes it to move to the extremes when inside a virtual cockpit, Cessna for example. It doesn't take much and it is hard to control as it seems to move all over the place. I don't have this kind of trouble with my Track IR in FSX.

Thanks!

Are you using the X-Plane option, Track IR ??

Another way is use the plug in, pilot view and untick the track IR in the options menu.

Pilot view uses the native track IR.

The pilot view plug-in is freeware and it does help to get Track IR under control (you did select/enable it under the joystick equipment menu equipment tab ?) While I still find it has some irritating quirks that make me long for a commercial product like EzDoc; it's the only game in town that I know of.

Try disable track IR in the joystick equipment menu.

Enable it in pilot view.

They clash both enabled, pilot view uses the Track IR native programme not the X-Plane

option.

thanks all

where can I find the plug in?

The TIR works great in XP providing a suitable profile is used in the TIR software.

Try setting all axes at 1 to 1 at first to minimise any erratic behaviour.

I wouldn't use the Pilotview plug in right away as it can take some getting used to.

Thank you thank you thank you. You provided me with the missing piece.

As a long term fan of BOTH FSX and XP9 I was looking forward to trying XP10 now its upto 10.20. However my excitment turned to frustration when I was unable to get my TrackIR setup even with Pilotview. On the verge of giving up I read this thread and your post. I looked in the TrackIR profiles and BINGO found the problem 6DOF. I changed the profiles for anything that had x-plane in it to my usual 2DOF and ....happiness.

So to anyone struggling with views using Pilotview my experience, for what it's worth, is that it is unstable with 6DOF so modify the profiles in the TrackIR programe.

Thanks again.....TIM

I am using Facetracknoir with the TrackIR option enabled in XPX and it works fantastically.
