Does anyone have this working with dx10 and the fixer?  I am getting reflective squares around the taxi and runway lights.

Try this: in the DX10Fixer config program, click on the "Configure" button next to "General Shader"

In the next screen, make sure that "8bit texture fix" is NOT checked, and that the "Light Bloom" slider is fully to the right at 100%.

I don't own the Flightbeam scenery, so I don't know if the above settings will help or not, but this cured the very same issue at the FlyTampa Dubai Rebooted airport scenery on my FSX installation.

Almost there, Jim - everything is nice except for - I think it's the Legacy Shader slider, pushed one to the left. I have the airport and their KSFO, which is where I noticed it first, and that fixes it there.

..but this is also interesting, and needs noting, so many thanks,  Jim.

And thank YOU Paul, for all you have done as a DX-10 evangelist! Your setup guide here at Avsim convinced me to try 10 several weeks ago, with Steve's initial patches, and now that the Fixer is here, it's darn near perfect.

I'll never go back to DX-9!

I can't get the transparent white/grayish box's to go away on Orbx KJAC runway edge lights. I have tried different combinations of the fixer, but they remain. Any ideas would be great. Great little app though.

Bryan

Here is a pix that shows the boxes on the runway edge lights.

I've sent this one off for Steve to look at, Bryan, as If as you say, you've tried all of the settings, then it'll be beyond me, and may well be something which the Orbx dev might fix, perhaps with some consultation with Steve.

Thanks for looking into Paul. I still like the progress thats being made. keep up the good work.

I had this problem too at Flightbeam's KIAD and fixed it by having my settings as suggested by JRBarrett.  Reflections disappeared and the airport looked great.  Then the next day I loaded it again and there they were again!.  I found that you just have to open up that General Shader and click okay and it will come up with a message that it will be implemented when FSX is started up again.  And, yes, the message was correct.  I started up at KIAD again today and the problem is still fixed.

Best regards,

Jim

For ORBX's KJAC:

I actually took this shot for Kilstorm over at the ORBX forums on the night that the fixer was released.  I'm not having the issues with the lights there.
