October 8, 201312 yr They also make good use of the "Faller Car System" to animate vehicles. Unlike "slot cars" which must run on a specific track, the Faller system uses an imbedded steel wire which the car follows using a magnet and a simple linkage to the front wheels for steering. Instead of being stuck with expensive "sectional" track from the manufacturer, you can make your roads out of whatever you'd like and just run the wire down the center of the travel lane.
