October 10, 201312 yr Have fully customized FS2004 build on i7-2700k with GTX570 and planning to buy GTX 780 in anticipation of BF4 (I know, I know and I'm sorry:-)). Read some posts that modern videcards doesn not like FS2004 for some reasons and even NVidia Inspector cannot solve the problem with graphic artifacts. Anyone able to confirm that? October 10, 201312 yr I'm using FS9 with a GTX680MX (in the iMac). Runs brilliantly on max settings and with Nvidia inspector.
October 10, 201312 yr I run FS9 with GTX 660ti and NVidia inspector without any issues. I never had any artifacts, all my settings are max. October 10, 201312 yr I bought a GTX 770 2GB and can now run 8xSQ AA and 4XSGSS transparency AA in any weather! The shimmers are 99% gone and FS9 runs just fine locked at 30fps.
October 11, 201312 yr Im running it with a GTX 660Ti and everything is maxed out with the exception of Mip Maps. I had problems with shimmering at max mip maps (which I think is 8), so I dropped it to 4 and it works great. I probably could have left the mip maps at 8 by tweaking some other stuff -- but this works for me. When you add in SweetFX the sim looks absolutely stunning. You wouldn't even know you're dealing with a 10 year old game.
