Released: FSX NORDHAVN 86 MOTOR YACHT

I tried a few freeware ones, but I don't like how they steer, it feels utterly wrong, and since it's called Flight Simulator I see no point in buying (or even developing) payware pilotable boats for FSX. But that's just my opinion...

I admit that the exterior model looks very good, but the interior? Not so much...

I am sure with P3D v2 we will start seeing a lot more of this.

Intel i7 10700K | Asus Maximus XII Hero | Asus TUF RTX 3090 | 32GB HyperX Fury 3200 DDR4 | 1TB Samsung M.2 (W11) | 2TB Samsung M.2 (MSFS2020) | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO | 43" Samsung Q90B | 27" Asus Monitor

With no waves to battle I have never understood the exitement of piloting boats in FSX. Also, scenery isn't very good at sea level with no real harbours to sail into.

has anyone ever bought a boat payware for fsx?

I have not, but this one looks quite interesting;  it is the right kind of boat to explore the PNW,  Alaskan and European Fjords.

Time, is the one thing no one can buy.

You have wave water physics in AccuFeel v2.

I tried few freeware ones, and they ALL are huge FPS eaters due to very complex models. There are few sailing and sea simulators available, and I think FSX has the best scenery and visuals among them, as a flight simulator.

But still I don't see any point going 20kts in a sim where you can enjoy the view on 120kts, at least.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

that is one very nice bit of work....I loved the hottub filling up with water....I just don't think I would get the use out of it though.

Congrats to the developer, hope you have success with that.

sorry for the double post, I got an error when I clicked "post" so I clicked again

Ha ha.... I got really into the boats and bought about 4 of hte Deltasim ships about 3 years ago.  They are really well done and modelled, but as good as FSX may seem for hosting boats and sailing, in reality it's not great; things like coastlines and the general physics aren't really there.    But can be fun for 5 minutes!
