December 4, 200421 yr If you had but one item to add to your existing setup in order to increase your enjoyment of MSFS, what would it be?I'm thinking of a faster CPU. My current system is AMD XP2500+, Gigabyte GA 7N400 Pro MB, Radeon 9800 Pro with 256 mb, 1 Gig 400 MHZ DDR.Cheers,Brad StreeterKKLS
December 4, 200421 yr Rather than increase my enjoyment of MSFS I would rather that the under-priviliged of this world had even a small fraction of what I have. They would then, indeed, be wealthy. I have so much to be grateful for that I don't need anything else.David
December 4, 200421 yr Pft christmas is all about gluttony :-lolActually I alredy had my christmas as I received the parts for my new system and have been putting it together and reinstalling everything:Shuttle SN95G5 xPC caseAthlon64 3500+512MB RAMX800XT 256MB280GB harddrive (120+160 GB drives)DVD WriterWell one of those external 250GB drives would be nice - can never have enough storage space - I spent a day trying to free some harddrive space with minimal sucess. But really I'm quote happy with it the way it is :D -
December 4, 200421 yr I am all with David on this subject.... However...I have written Santa and asked for a co-pilot. Simple request. She, the copilot, needs to be 5 foot 7 inches or there abouts, no more than 110 LBS dripping wet, and know her approach proceedures inside and out. :)Santa (my wife) politely wrote back a very unpublishable response (actually the elves must have written it, cause she never uses such language)... I guess I am going to have to remove the copilot from my wish list.
December 4, 200421 yr Tom,Yes, unfortunately, Co-pilot, (female) 1.01 suddenly turns into Divorce Lawyer 2.3, which in most cases leads to a new popular software program called Bankruptcy 3.4 . . . its a never ending battle, and all for the want of a good co pilot. You have to watch those little gremlin elves . . .they are a tricky bunch.Clay
December 4, 200421 yr Commercial Member Sim runs pretty well for me right now, so wouldn't have to ask for hardware... maybe a Jepp plate/airway map subscription? Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 4, 200421 yr A throttle quadrant for multi-engine flight. I would like to be able to use assymetric thrust for turning in taxi, feathering of a dead engine, etc. I know you can use E+1 E+2, etc, but a lot of add-on aircraft won't seem to let you get full engine control back.----------------------------------------------------------------John S. December 4, 200421 yr I'm a cheap bum and only buy the ones I legally have to have for my real world flying and then just ask them for their stacks of recently expired publications while I'm at it. Hehe. So every 56 days I can usually get 56 day old maps, AF/Ds, and plates from the entire US and parts of Canada for free.----------------------------------------------------------------John S. I think you should trade the copilot option for a flight attendant with full cockpit access so she can come and as she pleases.Andy b Andy Brockbank
December 4, 200421 yr Fs3004 as real as reality on a full motion simulator.........and NO frames hit!!!!
December 5, 200421 yr Et Al,I agree with David amongst other non MSFS wishes, including having our military men and women back home. I also have many other non MSFS related Christmas wishes.Tom, maybe a secret virtual co-pilot to your specifications could suffice.............:-beerchug Brad StreeterKKLS
December 5, 200421 yr Tom, I wish I had got a pic of my RW co-pilot (actually FE but who's counting seats) last year. She was a full time model and part time pilot or part time pilot - full tim...... I had to think of every excuse in the book when Mrs. Claus wanted to ride the jump seat one night since we were making a stop in her home town. I finally just use the excellent stand-by of 9-11. She dropped the discussion. Had she actually made it to the plane, I would have been looking for a different gig for the rest of the holiday season. She's now driving a -27 for Kinko's or is it FedEx or whatever, the guys with the purple stripes. I did talk to one of my former flying partners the other night and he said she's in the right drivers seat, I guess he ran into her out east somewhere. As for Christmas, I just want the doctor's to release me to return to work but that's not going to happen till January so I guess I'll sit here in front of the `puter crying in my Conac since I don't get to drive the big smoking and noisy Faux Santa Sleigh this year.Cheers to all and everyone have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
