FMC > Rwy Slope / Wet (or Dry)

Featured Replies

Is this FMC setting modeled?  Couldn't find anything helpful in the documents and haven't figured out how

to set "WET" instead of "DRY".  FMC will accept a "U" or "D" slope setting (understanding that this isn't

very useful in FSX ~:)    but can't get it to accept a Rwy condition setting other that the default (DRY).

Thanks,

Ken

Try 'W' it works in the 747-400. Btw it was discussed a few days ago, if you want wet stoping distances in FS use this neat little program http://secure.simmarket.com/fsps-sim-physics-x.phtml

Edit - just checked my ops manual....

SLOPE

• Valid runway slope entries are 1 or 2 digit numbers between 0.0 through 2.0 in percent gradient.

• Slope entries may be proceeded by U (for uphill) or D (for downhill). Entries without a U or D are assumed to be uphill.

• Valid runway condition is “D” or “DRY” for dry or “W” or “WET” for wet.

• Entry of “S” or “WET SK-R” displays “WET SK-R” and FMC computes V1 for a skid resistant runway.

You can find it one of the PMDG documentation, but what Rob said.

I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.

Thank you Rob. I'd figured out the Slope entry;  and now I can look forward to trying the "W" or "D" entry.

Hi All,

If I enter "W"  for set SLOPE/CON,

I have "INVALID ENTRY"

So what to do now?

Thanks.

If I enter "W"  for set SLOPE/CON,

Slope is a # value, that's why it's rejecting it.  Always follow the convention of the label:

SPD/ALT Example (280 at 16000):

280/16000

To enter only altitude, you use /16000.

So for SLOPE/CON...?

Wet would be /W

Thanks Stephen,

also Thanks Kyle for your explain !

With the  "/"  before W or D ...

I'have read the technical documents but currently there an other parameters?

Thanks.

Best regards,

Yup, if the runway's really wet then you're doing something right Peter.

Better plan ahead and stay protected while doing your discharge, or was it dispatch, something like that.

wait which forum am I on again
