November 16, 201312 yr Moderator Hi Dave, I too had 5 in there. If you ever switch it back on I think 2 will work fine but the main thing is not to access menu items. In the normal course of things I wouldn't do that anyway. At least your post has resulted in an interesting discussion and has certainly helped me understand the option a bit better. Ray (Cheshire, England). November 16, 201312 yr It is good to know that the function can work well, with the right value (2) and some concerted focus not to pause or use the menu. There certainly are some occasions where I'd like to stay with real time... but at this point, I've just unticked for now Appreciate the more in-depth and nuanced discussion as well. March 25, 201412 yr Great discussing guys thanks I had mine on too and it constantly reloaded FSX huge annoyance specially on approach. Smooth sailing now oops Flying...
March 26, 201412 yr I have had the reloading issue - although for me - it happened so seldom as to not be a problem. I have mine set at 5 - will try it at 2 and see what happens. A good series of posts - I agree. Franklin Duncan
August 27, 201411 yr I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this community ROCKS! It was indeed all being caused by a nasty mis-placed tick in FSUIPC's "keep FS time in sync with real time" option.... bahhh!!! All sorted now, and back to uninterrupted approaches Thanks to all, but especially Chris Volle and Brian Sommers! I know this is late in the thread, but just wanted to let everyone know that Aivlasoft's EFB also has a box for sync'ing the app with your computer, and to make sure you shut that one off, too. I was having the same problem, did a search on it and came to this thread. FSUIPC was cool, but I remembered the EFB setting (in the DataProvider app). Back in the saddle again! Woo-hoo! -= Gary Barth =-
