FSX DX10 or P3D DX11

Featured Replies

With the current version of Steves's superb DX10 Fix installed i really consider myself a very happy FSX camper at the moment.

I will upgrade my PC next year anyways and by then P3D.2 will most likely have, as i suppose, also not only ironed out at least some of those issues which are currently listed by those users who already have it installed, but by then maybe there will also already be a broughter full support for it from more various 3rd party developers than today - such as from PMDG for instance.

So for me personally speaking:

With the DX10 fix applied into FSX now and with SweetFX enabled as well, there is no need to hurry.

But please don't get me wrong here now:

P3D sure is a great platform and all that, but - again - as far as i can tell:

Steve's DX10 Fix has definitely extended my FSX's span of life!

Cheers, Christoph

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

I've bought the Migration tool, and it works almost flawlessly:-) Only one not working so far is the Q400, so my FSX is basically now a pure Majestic Q400 simulator

Uncheck "Mipmaps VC panels" in "view and panel settings" and the Q400 will work in P3D. This is a temporal workaround, waiting for the officially supported P3D version.
