November 25, 201312 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks for the suggestion, but neither TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULTIPLIER nor BufferPools changed the situation. As always with these things YMMV so they are worth a try. I get stutters also when turning down the settings, so much less VRAM is consumed. I posted to the P3D forum over at LM and it's getting some attention, so there's hope! Simon www.supertrafficboard.com
November 25, 201312 yr I too am experiencing stutters, especially when panning in the cockpit and while panning in the spot view. Noticeable also when turning. The stutters will become better if I lower the settings, however never disappear. However it is not settings dependable, as FPS are always maintained at 30fps.
November 25, 201312 yr Same here, I am also seeing a lot of stuttering, also in cases where FPS are maintained at 30. Best regards, Alexander Rietveld

November 25, 201312 yr Just a couple idea's Some people are having to manually set their affinity mask in the .cfg to enable multithreading. P3D v1.4 had a setting called bathymetry which greatly affected performance. If v2 has this same setting you might want to disable it. I cant play with v2 until I get home from work :( Hope this helps Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
November 25, 201312 yr I cant speak for P3D but in FSX NI Vsync 1/2 gets rid of ALL stutters. Does this setting work for P3D at all? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk Arjen Vandervelde
November 25, 201312 yr Author Commercial Member For FSX I agree, NI Vsync 1/2 was THE breakthrough. Is it working for P3D? I can't be sure. I've associated a profile with the P3D exe but it does not fix the stutters. There's no tearing, irrespective of what the in-game setting It's not all negative, flying through clouds and all that autogen is great! However I get a real feeling of deja-vue that all my old FSX problems are coming back. Not only the stutters, but in heavy airport scenery with traffic I get the usual dip in frame rate below the locked value (30) in P3D. When I unlock, I'm generally over 30. Where did they all go? Simply to observe with enhanced fps display. Intel i9 12900K, Asus ROG Strix Gaming Z690-A Wifi D4, GSkill 32gb, RTX 4090 Regards Chris Kathi

Well then your settings are probably wrong or your system can't maintain at least 30 FPS. The NI limiter should be off or it won't work. VSync Mode must be set to Standard and not Adaptive. In FSX the limiter should be set to 30 but Unlimited works for me too in big add-on jetliners. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk Arjen Vandervelde
