Finally able to give Mesh V2 a try!

Oh, but I am certainly installing it!  My disk is small for the stuff I have, and have to do it with some parsimony... but the tiles for Portugal and Spain are those I am using right now.

Flying even the default AS-k21 near Sintra or Serra da Estrela, or even under the influence of the northern mountains in Spain when I start from Bragança aerodrome  ( LPBG ), it makes a huge difference, visually for sure, but I strongly believe that even on the sort of ridge lift I am getting!

It's amazing, for instance, what the mesh did at most airports for the accuracy of the "rw follows terrain contours" option. At LPPT it made quite a difference, and it's now perfectly possible to check that box in the rendering options :-)

Agreed. At my local airport, there is no longer a huge wall in the middle of the taxi way, where it rises about 6 feet and makes me crash, or a massive ditch in the middle of the runway

I have downloaded the full mesh v2 set already :-)  Still on an external disk, about to be installed in X-Plane 10, but still awaiting news from ortto-photo from SimHeaven.

You have the WHOLE THING?!?!?!

Geez....LOLOLOL---------------->  I've been at it since 4:00 am this morning, and have 9 parts to go for the whole of N.A.  I haven't even touched Europe yet, lol! N.A should be whole in about 3 hours touchdown.....(whew!)

SimHeaven (PilotBalu) is downloading too ... but I think he will start working on his pat of the magic over the coming days. But how does this stop you from checking out the HD Mesh Scenery v2 on its own (anyways ... many, many parts of the HD Mesh won't be  covered by photoscenery from SimHeaven ... his server space would explode B) ).

Thank you, for your great HD Mesh v2, Andras....the Great Lakes region was a serious joy to fly over, the little part that I did.  I'm in the process of gathering up the rest of North America. Europe will be for later this week. With these files and SimHeaven's PilotBalu's efforts, XPX's plausible world never looked more appealing....

I have most of it all downloaded too (things I don't have are places not really attractive to me) and it all works beautifully. Strangely, the only problem is with the older NZ mesh, which freezes the computer for about 20 minutes if I choose Auckland, but seems to work fine everywhere else. The combination with SkyMaxx Pro finally makes X-plane a interesting proposition for me.

I just finished downloading all of the files for the North American continent.  I rebooted, defrag'ed them all, and then rebooted once more.

Took my first few flights around Michigan and general Great Lakes that I haunt; then...went to the west coast and flew from California up to Washington State.

XPX:25  is GORGEOUS!   Wow...wow...and oh.....wow........

Europe gets placed onto the hard drive tomorrow.....

Gawd...but Life is good....., and so are 1 TB 10,000 rpm Velociraptors!~

Post Edit:  Flying near Halifax, Canada and...:

I can NOT believe how incredibly important, the finest mesh resolution is to a simulator. Holy You-Know-What!  To see train tacks for goodness sakes, completely follow the curve and scope of the hill, dell, whatever to within 50 feet is incredible to see, and especially with how trains are done to perfection in XPX.  This HD Mesh v2 is a huge plus 1,000 for this sim, let alone ANY sim.  Repeated again, this is a not a maybe, perhaps, I dunno download and install---no...this is you are a d*mn fool if you do not-type installation.   Talk about a VFR PARADISE!   Wow.....

Back to Halifax Harbor, and oh, BTW, SeaTraffic does not conflict in any way with SkyMaxx Pro v1.0  Nope...and I have great commercial and tranportation marine traffic, private sail boats, and all enjoying the day out off the coast of Nova Scotia! :)   Like I said...Life......is good!

I am looking forward for the ortho-photos too... Will not be able to get World coverage, but I tend to fly a lot around the same places and routes all of the time :-)  SimHeaven will update the ZLs with Alpilot's v2 Mesh, and that will be the ultimate scenery level to have, right now, and for free!!! in X-Plane 10!!!

... and now, fill the general screen shot forums (aka. spread the gospel)

Andras, your mesh is mashing my finger on the take-picture button....very bad.....way bad.....LOL!

And BTW, thank you so much yet again, for your time and effort that went into this....so VERY MUCH appreciated!!!
