November 25, 201312 yr First stupid question. Just as the heading says "How do I install P3D to another drive than default ©? I have a small SSD as C and there will not be space for P3D and all addons in the future. How do I install to my empty drive D? Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
November 25, 201312 yr Funny you mention that. I installed this morning, and don't recall ever seeing a place to choose my install location. I have the same issue. I don't want it installed on my C drive. I was going to uninstall tonight, but I really don't remember ever being given the choice of where to install. Hoping I just missed it. November 25, 201312 yr Moderator At the very beginning of the install, click the "options" button... Yep! Precisely the same method used my MS for FS2002, FS2004, and FSX... I'm constantly amazed that so many folks somehow miss noticing that button! Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

November 25, 201312 yr Hi, When i installing Prepar3Dv2 to "E" disk, if you later want to install to Prepar3Dv2 addons - whether there will be problems? FSX is installed to default location (drive C),because this disc - system disc was the fastest 250 GB SSD ( expensive). Have all my games and startup on it,so much quicker than my HDD. But over time this disc is full. Then I installed a large scenerys to another disk (HDD)and is not suitable for all. Quite a number of FSX addons is not possible install to another disk, they need install to same disk where is Windows and FSX. Would be a good to know, when beginning with Prepar3Dv2,what are the options, that there will be problems later! For example Aerosoft scenerys.I can not get them to work properly when I change the default installation location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X).As well as the ORBX scenerys and some other stuff.Nor can I add a new drive to increase the "C" volume, because of the change hardware configuration, this causes that some programs will no longer work. regards
