Adding parking brakes in float planes

Featured Replies

Has anyone had success with this?  I've made the edits in the .cfg file but it doesn't seem to take effect.

Praetor,

Please take a second to clarify what you're wanting to accomplish here with Parking Brakes on a float plane. If not, the jokes will continue likely. Are you referring to parking brakes on an aircraft that has retractable landing gear or or float plane that has only floats. If floats only, then I think you probably by now have figured out that wont work too well.

Details please?

This would be required for FSEconomy. There is plenty of information on their forum.

Correct Hook.

Nothing on their forums that I have found, unfortunately.

The FSE client looks for the parking brake to end an assignment. Most helicopters and seaplanes do not have one. You will need to add these lines in your helicopter or floatplane's aircraft.cfg file:

[brakes]
parking_brake = 1
toe_brakes_scale = 0.75
