PROBLEM WITH AS2012

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

several months i bought Active Sky 2012 and installed on Prepar3d 1,4,

one day i started AS 2012 and will not open in a window sayng:

A critical error

Occurred: Application failed to load

The root elemnt is missing

I tried to unistall and reinstall and it is not changed anything, so i thought that the download was damaged and no longer usable;

I have since bought new AS 2012, I downloaded all the file and when it restart still does not open and introduced the same window:

I have basically spent more money without solving the problem.

If anyone can help me to solve it thanks.

open a support ticket at http://support.hifitechinc.com/

They should get you sorted out pretty quick.

Just to clarify though - you say you just bought the "NEW" AS2012 - there is no "NEW" AS2012 but there is the newest product called "ASNEXT". I'm assuming that's the one you purchased so be sure to put ASNEXT on the support ticket NOT AS 2012!

Sorry, just remembered we are in the P3D forum - ASNEXT is currently in beta for P3D2 and the FSX version will not work for 1.4 or 2.0.

So you'll need to clarify which version

Let me explain;

I Prepa3d v. 1,4, I bought AS2012, just one day after a few months when I clicked to start it you are no longer open;

then having the doubt that the installation file is damaged you, Iregained the AS2012 to solve the problem, just that i have not solved anything because it prevents me from opening it himself;

I known that ASN is not compatible Prepar3d v. 1,4 in fact i have not bought.

OK, now I understand. :)

Still, best to open a support ticket so we can track down what's causing the problem. I have AS2012 working with both 1.4 and 2.0.

The solution is in the HiFi knowledge base in this http://support.hifitechinc.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/2/2/ase-fails-to-start article - it deals with ASE but the same solution works for AS2012...

OK, now I understand. :)

I believe it does work with P3D2 but the temperature bug affects performance
