December 17, 201312 yr I have generally the same setup on my MCP11 panel but there are variations as you all know between different aircraft and also variations as to what assignments are actually availalbe. So differences between landing lights all on and Left On / Right on /Nose on etc. changes the setup. So the question is how do you keep it all organized. I have thought about flip cards above the assigned buttons on the User control panel to help out. I would be interested in your setp....please post pics if you have them. thanks! Mark CYYZ
December 19, 201312 yr It would be nice if we could print out the Linda assignments for individual aircraft but as this is not (yet?) available I put them in an OpenOffice/MS spreadsheet and print that.
December 19, 201312 yr Author That is what I am doing now as well. I plan to add some sort of contraption so I can flip to the correct print out depending on the plane. Mark CYYZ
December 20, 201312 yr So the question is how do you keep it all organized Brain.exe  ^_^ no, to be honest, I see your problem, but I do not know if it's possible. I don't think so. One guy have shown me a kind of magnetic cards, perfectly fitted to the MCP Combo and for every aircraft he put them on. Very perfect and easy to switch. But not cheap and I can't say what manufacturer he has choosen - he is from switzerland. I have a Combo II and there you can change the labels in the buttons: To assign them double doesn't solve all problems, but a few ^_^ Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
December 23, 201312 yr Well this is not easy to manage physically, but I just use the snipping tool in windows to take a screen shot of each LINDA page and then I print the screen shots for each aircraft. A fair amount of printing and 8.5 x 11. Perhaps it would be possible to print the LINDA screens, reduce them and use them as flip cards. This is pretty simplistic, but it might lead to something better. Regards, Graham Derreck CYMM
December 24, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the info. I have at MCP II panel but have not been too successful in getting off the plastic covers and trying to change the labels for fear of damaging something. Once I have my little system up and running I will post some screenshots. Mark CYYZ
June 9, 201411 yr I just simply print the labels on A4 paper and cut them out. Then put it inside the transparent cover
June 18, 201411 yr MarkW VRInsight is now supplying plastic cable ties with sticky pads for pulling the covers off the panel buttons. These avoid any damage. June 18, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the info. I am using v1.0 of my contraption. I printed out lables for each aircraft and taped them on a spiral binder. I have an idea to get it looking a little better by printing on 3x5 cards and then having Staples bind it so I can flip between aircraft. I will post some pics when I get it done. Mark CYYZ
