December 18, 201312 yr I got this. Reinstalled everything and monitered when it started to happen again, and it kicked in just after I installed Horizon's VFR scenery packs for Scotland. Not sure if there is a correletion. I'll be defragging tonight, anyway, since I've just completed the grand reinstall. December 18, 201312 yr I've seen this happen with an over taxed system. Try turning the settings down a bit and see if that fixes it. Next thing to try is backup your fsx.cfg and let fsx build a new one.
