The Strange Arrows That Point the Way Across America

 

Interesting, i wonder how many of those remain.

I read an article about the early days of airmail in the USA about a year or so back.  It was a very interesting read and of course the large arrows where mentioned.  Challenging times for pilots in those days!  I didn't know the arrows were still around though. Thanks for sharing.

I could almost imagine a modern pilot commemorating the anniversary of those by trying to follow them again.
