Just an FYI.. The double posting isn't totally from impatient people clicking submit again.. I just finally had a situation happen to me where I caused a double post (thread)

It seems the post still made it to the database, just hitting reload will then cause the double post.

I had the same problem today.  My post generated no feedback, and I got a HTTP code 503 back, inviting to retry.

Not long (an hour or so) after posting this the 503's have been reduced to nothing.. Sites performing rather well now some 4 hours later..

The service unavailables are pretty bad right now, like sometimes every other site function, and then periods where it is slow, but gets to the destination eventually.  Hope that it can get fixed soon.

Avsim reminds me of 14.4k modem times. The server speed is really annoying.

If I get a 503 (and I do quite frequently), I simply hit the refresh (f5) key and continue on.  Hopefully the kinks will be worked out in the coming New Year.  I do believe though that Tom is well aware of the server speed and these issues.  Nothing else we can do but be a bit more patient.
