Airbus NEO A320 update...

Reading the forums at P3D reveals the Déjà Vu fight against stuttering, OOMs, etc...

X-Plane 10 is becoming pretty much the best choice as a future platform, for those willing to embrace it... But it has to be a soft transition, because otherwise we will keep looking back at those great add-ons we will miss...

This is exactly it and the way I see things right now too!  X-Plane is picking up momentum right now.  P3D is no better than FSX.  Still with the same limitations we are all trying to escape.  And then, you look at these absolutely gorgeous images from X-Plane users with the mesh, OSM, photo real.  For the first time ever, I am now budgeting to build an X-Plane computer sometime within the next 3 months.

This might sound strange and I could very well be imagining things here, but for those who say the A320 NEO is difficult to hand fly, are you using a joystick or a yoke to control it? Reason I ask is that I dusted off my old Logitech 3D joystick I used to use before I got a yoke to do a quick test to see if it feels any different, and strangely enough...it does actually feel a lot better manually flying it using a joystick (Airbus are meant to be flown with a stick anyway).

I'm in the middle of a quick test flight EDDF-EGLL and just flew the BIBTI2L SID departing rwy 18 manually to FL340.

That is a good question, and I have to admit that I am using my ProFlight yoke in XPX right now. I am a quite new and inexperienced user in X Plane, so I am wondering if there is a way to set up two different controllers? When flying Airbusses in FSX, I am using the Logitech G940 with the fantastic FS Force, and with that setup, I come close enough for my likings. Is X Plane supporting force feedback?

I'm currently using a plugin called 'X-Assign' that allows to save multiple profiles for different controllers and it works a treat. You can download it from the x-plane.org.

Yeah mine is not as nice as that. Been using a Saitek yoke for months now and haven't flown Airbus since I got it, but since seeing all the updates for the A320 NEO decided to get back into it, thought you could get away with flying a 'Bus using a yoke but it just doesn't quite work. It's the same with Boeings and joysticks, been doing it for years with my NGX before I got the yoke and afterwards wondered why I never got one in the first place!

The FMC is not complete but much better than the A380. You can enter all waypoints. No SID and STAR.

Is this feature planned for the near future? It would be real fun to hand fly a SID or a demanding approach, but not all the procedures into bigger airports can be flown by using raw data only.

Next update will be the 3d pit. I would be very happy to see an improvement after that.

There are no SIDs and STARs in the A320NEO?  Is that what you're saying?

Oh, ok.  Good.  The JARDesigns A320Neo will be the first X-Plane purchase I make.

I had a second look, you can enter SID and STAR before you begin the flight.

*"The model should be compatible with UFMC and with XFMC. It might be recommendable to deactivate UFMC before take off, since it seems to interfere with our built in FMGS, but I need to verify this point with Javier Cortes. The XFMC seems to reliably retain from such interference during flight. Both add-ons do a great job and are really recommendable, though they do not perfectly meet Airbus like procedures and functions."

I'm thinking of buying this airplane, it would be my first purchase for X Plane, Does the A320neo have reflections on the glass windows? Thanks
