December 31, 201312 yr Such a nice little sim/game.. snapped-up for half price in the Steam Sales. Simply a great, fun, experience... and looks super too!
December 31, 201312 yr Aerofly does, lots of potential and the feeling is very good, however no systems depth and no global coverage. Could do with a kickstarter to get some real investment.
December 31, 201312 yr I think it has to be viewed as something small, and on its own. In other words, not a competitor to FSX/PD3D/XP but something to 'play' with along side the big boys. It would take a huge effort to make this a worldwide sim [there is so much missing], and the photoscenery would have to go in place of some sort of landclass... which would be a pity. I'm happy for it to remain something less involved, but would also be happy to see it expand in a modest manner.
January 2, 201412 yr Hopefully they will continue to build.... I like what I am seeing in their new version being built... If they mold systems, navigation, and the world people might start jumping off FSX, P3D, and XP10. I think they need to focus on flight model, navigation aids, weather injection and modelling the rest of the world... Let the devs deal with airports, traffic, and etc..... 5Take Care, Will Clark My computer: Intel 14900K, Motherboard ROR Maximus Z790 Formula, PSU Dark Power 1600, Ram DDR5 (7200) Vengeance 32GB CL38, ASUS 4090, Keyboard Logitech ASUS, Mouse ROCCAT LEADR Wireless, Corsair M.2 SSD 4TB x2, Headset Astro A50 Wireless, Microphone Elgato Wave 3, Stream Deck Elgato XL, GoXLR, Loopdeck Live, Chair Steelcase Gesture with Headrest, Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL ROG White, Custom Built water cooling, Ek Lian li xl distro plate, Fittings EK & Bitspower, Monitor LG C1 48 OLED, Desk Speakers Audio Engine A5+ White.
January 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member The houses look stunning exact and in 3D. However I'll wait for them to support SteamOS before I buy it.
January 2, 201412 yr and modelling the rest of the world... . I don't think that this is really feasible. The Suisse is rather small, but tries this with Germany, France, not to speak about the USA or Canada. It would need a totally different engine and exactly this is the difference to projects like FSX and X-Plane. They want to simulate the world and they offer the possiblity to load special sceneries.Aerofly FS is a scenery. Karsten Schubert
January 2, 201412 yr Moderator I picked this up on Steam as well during their sale and it's fantastic. There might not be any in-depth systems, but the feeling of flying and the visuals it gives are second-to-none. It's easy to pick up a VFR chart and fly all round Switzerland and feel like your flying. The other thing I like is how fast is starts up, normally a few seconds. Starting up X-Plane or FSX, I click the icon and then go and make a coffee
January 2, 201412 yr It's certainly the best flight sim in the world with regard to scenery/sky/lighting realism. I think the only limitation is the low visibility distance at high altitudes, where FSX is clearly the winner. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
