Did you turn "ON" your autopilot?

 

The AP/ENG button will do it. Below the ALT SEL button.

 

Here I have also selected HDG MODE .. buttons on either the pop-up panel or cockpit Autopilot main panel can be used here.

Just for general info on my test flights: I wanted to post this last test results info in its own reply "section" but it automatically entered (appended) it here instead.

I used FSX, Reality WAAS for another test flight. FMC was not On.
No problems climbing to or while at FL250.
No problems with following GPS flight plan.
No problems in NAV mode / HDG.
No problems in NAV mode / VOR radials / intercepting trracking.
No problems with descent with various descent rates.
No problem intercepting/tracking  LOC / glideslope.
I took screenshots (if needed).
No problems with altitude preselect

thanks, I Click on FMS NAV button and it will turn things on..

 

and no, those buttons are inoperative according to the manual (VS and IAS).

What altitude are you testing at?

This one FL250

Landed without a problem.

 

I'll keep checking for those weird movements and how to properly opperate FMS, used the garmin for ILS approach.

The FMS is useless for me because of the altitude locking thing.  Mind you I never set up all the altitudes in the flight plan, but I just don't think the locking is a good idea.  I'll be buying RXP anyhow so the FMS is useless to me for another reason. 

I too am having an issue with the top half of the VSI disappearing intermittently...has anyone else had this problem?
