Hey everybody. I was thinking about getting the 1900 but I have a few questions regarding the GNS530. From the pictures, it looks like it has the exact same GPS' as the King Air. From my understanding, you are not able to build a flight plan from scratch using the default GPS in the 1900? So my question is, do I have to buy the GNS530 from RXP, for $50? Is the RXP GPS fully functional?

The RXP GPS is fully functional, but it only works in FSX, not P3D..

You can build a FP from the UNS-1L in the 1900.

Yeah, but its all default Navaids pretty much. Its pretty much the default GPS.

Maybe someone could verify .. but I thought I seen in the docs that that the Navdata cycle used in the Carenado B1900D was from 2011 (possibly 2012) to enter your flight plan into the UNS-1L?

 

So, you do not have to use the older default FSX / P3D data.

Found it, for a P3Dv2 flight their FMS Navdata date:
