February 5, 201412 yr Tried the slow snow option found under the rain shader but couldn't notice any real difference...?
February 5, 201412 yr Commercial Member Its supposed to reduce the vertical speed of the snow when the plane is stationary on the ground. The code has changed from v1.2 - I later added an option to stretch horizontally so I will look into it. My FSX Analysis Blog
February 5, 201412 yr Author Sounds great! As I wrote above the way it is now I couldn't really see any difference having the option enabled/disabled.
February 6, 201412 yr I have a feeling there are 2 snow curtains; one right in front of the cockpit and one in the background. It appears to me the latter is a bit slower. Menno Menno i7-11700, 16GB, 1 TB SSD, 2 TB HDD, RTX 3070, Windows 11, MSFS 2020 DeLuxe, P3D 4.5
February 6, 201412 yr Author Now that you mention it I've seen that too and if the front curtain could be equally slow I think that would be mission accomplished.
February 6, 201412 yr .... and if you pushback, the snow should reverse, and then move upwards............. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
February 6, 201412 yr Commercial Member Looking at it I messed it up when I added the stretch option - I was trying to make the rain "cone" when flying less distorted by the stretch but a side effect was to then make the slow snow effect be proportional to distance into the screen.
