July 28, 201411 yr Tushka, I basically know what RSBN is, but I haven't learnt yet to use it. However I had no idea at all about the RNAV system in the Tu-134. Much to explore when I'm back from my GA trip. The Myagko VOR switch is situated at the lower left corner of the overhead panel. See attached Screenshot from Version 1.2. There's a switch (turned to "vykl"/off in the picture) signed with VOR myagko: Private operations are the kind of operations I use the Tu-134 for, too, as I'm not disciplined enough for airline operations. I can understand that airlines want to switch to more modern and efficient equipment - but what about modern Russian planes? Is there no successor to the Il-96 in sight? At least I can watch Aeroflot's SSJ-100 here in Dresden. This switch generally slows down the lateral turn during autopilot in my experience and is most likely there for passenger comfort. Basically once you reach desired course you turn it on when you are using autopilot on VOR navigation. It's a pretty advanced switch and I generally do not use it as I only navigate with VOR during certain SID/STARS where I need to manually turn the plane for a faster rate. And if you want to turn faster you can use the turn knob while having switched to position "Myagko". I might be wrong and will have to consult the manual later for more information. You can fly airline operations if you wish, for example Air Koryo is quite interesting and still actively using the type. Also there's lot's of issues in real life due to pilot training hence making mistakes (non fatal) are normal. As the average pilot of Air Koryo makes an average 20 landings it won't hurt your pride so much if you happen to be a newbie The Ilyushin 96 is a great aircraft and it's a shame that it won't be developed further obviously because it wasn't popular. It's older brother Ilyushin Il-86 is out of service and we won't see it in the sky anymore. Proposed replacement for Il-96 from what I heard will be the "Frigate Ecojet" which is honestly one of the most stupid names I have ever heard of, and is currently under research by the JSC. As for regional jets there is Sukhoi Superjet and Antonov 148 which I think is enough for the domestic sector. Even a completely new Tu-154 actually rolled away from the factory last year...
July 28, 201411 yr For an Air Koryo pilot I miss something: - a Tu-134 B with closed nose - even more discipline. Honestly, flying in North Korea would have something frightening. I rather look for a quiet edge in Kazakhstan or Kyrgyzstan. "Frigate Ecojet" which is honestly one of the most stupid names I have ever heard of Indeed that sounds like a Star Wars vehicle rather than an airplane. However, you may consider that an airplane may change its name from the first project till production start. Do you remember the "Jäger 90" (Fighter 90)? It ended as Eurofighter. But the Frigate is a interesting project though. Harald Geyer Gründer der Messerschmitt Freunde Dresden v. V.
July 30, 201411 yr Hey guys! I have made small manual on starting up the Tu-134A-3 and setting up it's systems to work. It is adapted and revised to work with the SCS Tu-134 V2.0 version to replace the old engine startup guide. It's written as simple as possible for even a 737 pilot to understand but yet shows the advanced procedures finally taking advantage of the complexity of this addon as it's actually not as simple as most people thought! However, as it's for the english speaking pilots some detailed checks and tests have been omitted in order to not overwhelm with information. In the startup manual panel "Captain left panel" is basically the panel that you find to your left and can be triggered by shift-6. In the old manual with descriptions that was linked to earlier in this thread contains the information needed in order to understand this tutorial. Unfortunately in that old manual the "left panel" is abbreviated as "???". Please note, to use it. You must have downloaded the old manual here: http://5gb.net/raajvdlztk0a And then new startup procedure: https://yadi.sk/i/57T1_ozBYVZaS MSRP setup and step 39. and 40. may be skipped! Navigators panel is not yet documented and might be in future if necessary. If found any errors or need help just let me know. Problem with Tu-134A-3 is unfortunately most of the old manual will have to be replaced with a new more polished version with corrections and necessary information...
July 30, 201411 yr The http://5gb.net/raajvdlztk0a link appears to be broken. Thanks for the start docx btw.

August 11, 201411 yr HI, I get the engines running but then I loose electric power. I got generators running. I got version 2. Any suggestions?
August 11, 201411 yr HI, I get the engines running but then I loose electric power. I got generators running. I got version 2. Any suggestions? Does the generator red lights go off? If it doesn't, then it's a problem on your part... However, if everything is correct and you loose power it's because of a bug... I solved it personally by no longer loading cessna 172 shutting down everything. Wow, outstanding plane! Only issue I see so far is there is no VC lighting. The dome light turns on but cabin doesn't light up at all. Sorry for missunderstanding earlier. "Cabin" in Russian means cockpit, and cabin in english is salon. If your passenger cabin doesn't light up, you must turn on the 115V transformer switch powering up the galley. It's located in the electrical panel just under the generator switches. It can be done right after connecting ground power.

August 13, 201411 yr Ok, I'll check that. Here is a video of my start up procedure http://youtu.be/9aTLFLELuvE Hello, there is unfortunately many steps you have done wrong in setting up the plane including distribution of fuel and electrical power hence it might not be a surprise you're loosing electrical power. If I might ask, where did you get the startup procedure from? Here I have video that might help:

Thanks
August 14, 201411 yr I think I found the problem. The PO 500 switch LIght is on meaning not connected. What am I missing? I have turned on the switch and still the light is on. I'll make another video of my startup.
August 14, 201411 yr Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if a Tu154M will be/ is being developed for FSX?
August 14, 201411 yr Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if a Tu154M will be/ is being developed for FSX? We have FSX Tu-154B-2, unfortunately no Tu-154M yet. As I personally really need this version I regularly check but so far no developement threads or announcements of a Tu-154M version... Issue is that many parts of the Tu-154M for FS9 some source code is lost :( I think I found the problem. The PO 500 switch LIght is on meaning not connected. What am I missing? I have turned on the switch and still the light is on. I'll make another video of my startup. The PO-500 is not the cause of the electrical failure as it's generally switched off after generators and PO-4500 is connected. The red light you're seeing is constantly on when theres fuel in the tanks and has nothing to do with electrics... I wouldn't worry about it if I were you as the documentation right now is not complex enough to cover it. P.S, Is your main language English or Russian?
