February 14, 201412 yr I just purchased a Dell 30" u3011 with 2600x1600 resolution. When I run FSX with the PMDG aircraft or fly in add on scenery areas, I loose frame rates. My system: i7-2700 cpu @ 3.5GHz RAM 8.00 64 bit OS. Windows 7 frame rates bounce around at around between 12 and 20 FPS. Very jumpy at times. Very nice monitor though! Is there any way I can tweak this to get better frame rates? Thanks for any ideas Doug Douglas Morlan
February 14, 201412 yr Lower your settings... You probably came from 1920*1080 to 2560*1600 In essence you have almost doubled pixels. If you want to maintain the same FPS lower settings... 1080p TV at 1920×1080 = 2,073,600 pixels 30" monitor at 2560X1600 = 4,096,000 pixels Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
February 14, 201412 yr What Nvidia card do you have? That is probably where the culprit is. CPU is good. Pierre Pierre I9 14900K 5.5 64gb ram 6800 RTX5090 Asus Strix Gaming E
February 18, 201412 yr Very nice monitor though! Is there any way I can tweak this to get better frame rates? Thanks for any ideas You could always try running the monitor itself and/or FSX at a lower resolution. Might no look as sharp but you have the same impressive 30"s. gb. YSSY. March 1, 201412 yr I have a i 7 2600k @4.6 ghx & a 680 class. 4gb with 12 gb system memory & the sims(fsx& p3d v2.1) both run great after some minor tweeking. Frame rates are very good for the most part, I have the same monitor& settings as Doug.So it would seem that the Nvidia cars is probably the holdup. Ron
