Hello..

First of all- Thanks a lot for new Airbus FCU software :)

Version Linda 1.13 and FCU beta ver.5

Think I have done everything correct.

Im in doubt shall I use the excisting Aerosoft Airbus X - and whart is the 2.4 version , I see in another post ?

But when installing :    linda-gui.ini

Linda will not start, copy the main file back from Linda 1.13 it can start again. So linda-gui.ini makes the problem ????

Hi Chris

Thank you for the feedback.  The new Aerosoft Airbus X FCU file is based on the original 2.4 version but amended to interface with the Combo Airbus FCU.

There is a problem with the linda-gui.ini due to the fact that I use 2 monitors with Linda placed to the left.  You need to reinstall your existing linda-gui.ini file.  Alternatively, you can edit the current file and change the line MainLeft= from -971 to a positive value (i.e. 50).  This will make it visible of single screen setups.  Sorry!

Hi Chris

If you are using the VRInsight Airbus FCU panel then you do not have to have Aerosoft Airbus X v2.4 installed.  If you look in folder /Linda/aircrafts/ you will find a list of aircraft folders.  It is one of these that you select on the Linda window (at top).  The Beta 5 aircraft folder is "Aerosoft Airbus X FCU". All the others are available but not used.

Are the errors continuous or when you press something?  Can you restart Linda (click Reload Lau Engine), stop any error messages by clicking PAUSE in Console and post here from the line *******  START  ******* down to any repeating error messages.

I fixed it :)...

I was the Type 3 error in the VRI file :)

It works now, what a fantastic product now..

2 small details problems now... I dont want to let LINDA manage my SAITEK throttle and joystick, how can I disable that ?

and small cursors are moving around at my led display ?

Well done and thank you.

If you do not wish Linda to handle your joystick and throttle, simply remove all assignments on the joystick page.  I think you can also disable them on the Joystick/HID set up page.  Why you would wish to do this defeats me as Linda offers you the ability to easily assign multiple functions to each button.

I am aware of the flashing cursor and need to fix it.  I am leaving that until I have added the FCU to the main Linda GUI.

Amazing with the new Airbus software update :)

Now I have marked all the buttons on the FCU with new markings - looking great.

A wish for the next update :

Pack 1 and Pack 2 on two different buttons

NAV LOGO on its own button

Wing Light on its own button

Beacon on its own button

Arm switch light on its own

Hope its possible :)

Hi copilot767

Thank you for the suggestions. You can have those now!

Read the release notes (and previous posts in this thread) on how to manually change you config-mcp2.lua file.  Briefly:

1.  BACKUP YOUR LINDA INSTALLATION.

2.  Use one of your joystick buttons to identify the function you need for each you required button. Most functions/switches already exist thanks to the great work by guenseli in the original Aerosoft Airbus X 2.4. Copy the exact function name (eg. Lights_NAV_LOGO_toggle).

3.  Use the Linda editor to edit \modules\aircraft\aerosoft airbus x flu\config-mcp2a.lua.  Find a spare key in USER BLOCK 1, 2 or 3 (or reuse an existing one). Replace the empty label or existing function with the new function (e.g. ["BTN4."] = Lights_NAV_LOGO_toggle  ,).

4.  Save the file and click Reload Lua engine.

No you can have multiple joystick or FCU buttons calling up the same function.  Using a Joystick button is just a simple workaround until the GUI is updated. Once you have found all the functions you want to use, have edited config-mpa2.lua and tested it then you can disable the joystick.

I am busy on programming the GUI so please keep other questions to a minimum. ;)
